Ghost in house

So I was house sitting tonight by myself just to feed the person's fish and leave. They have "joked" about seeing a ghost who stands in the corner of their verandah outside (I'm in Australia) and to my surprise I see him standing right fucking there!!! He was facing towards the sky then slowly turned to me and just started staring at me I never looked away from him but had my phone in my hand and quickly took this. Anyway, to not identify myself or show the persons hoise contents, I have zoomed in the photo.
The front door to leave was behind me so I just walked backwards to the door not taking my eyes off of him and he continued to look at me then as I put my hand on the door handle he vanished! Completely shocked right now I don't think I'll sleep. And yes i was alone and no one else came with me!

It looks a bit like it could just be a smeary window pain or reflection but certainly is person shaped

The red light behind him is a Christmas light (yes they still have them up because they can't be bothered to take them down 😂) and it's just shining through his head

In person did it look to you like it does on the photo in a kind of ghostly see through way or did it appear as a solid person that you’re on the street?

@NemophilistRebel I'm not going back there 😭😭 I'm going to get my husband to go from now on! They aren't returning for another 4 days.
The owners who I thought were joking about it, have said that he stands there in the corner of the verandah most nights but doesn't do anything to them and don't get creepy vibes from him. I for sure got a freaking creepy vibe from him but I have never seen a ghost before either.

@NemophilistRebel he was definitely see through, I could see the railings straight through him. Believe me I was a good 3 minutes I was staring at him

It’s certainly giving off a creepy vibe.
Thank goodness he is polite enough to stay on the verandaed and not come in

It’s a bit like having a regular peeping Tom though

Do they not have blinds?! That would be the first thing I put up if I had a regular visitor that I couldn’t legally give a restraining order to

Oh wow. Were you also fascinated as well as scared. It’s kind of my bucket list to see a ghost. Even though highly likely shit myself, if I did.

@MayTheGodsBeEverInYourFavour I didn't look in that direction initially because i was just there to feed the fish so I don't know how long he was standing there. And the temperature didn't feel any different really their house is closed up and at the time it was almost 8pm in Australia so it was already cooler.

@Awwlookatmybabyspider I am fascinated about ghost stories etc I love a good horror flick but I did not want to see a ghost no way! 😂 I'm still freaking out and I'm definitely not going back to feed the fish I'll leave that up to my husband.

As I was leaving I looked up and I didn't see anything/one on the verandah. But I could definitely sense being watched!
