Ghost in house

So I was house sitting tonight by myself just to feed the person's fish and leave. They have "joked" about seeing a ghost who stands in the corner of their verandah outside (I'm in Australia) and to my surprise I see him standing right fucking there!!! He was facing towards the sky then slowly turned to me and just started staring at me I never looked away from him but had my phone in my hand and quickly took this. Anyway, to not identify myself or show the persons hoise contents, I have zoomed in the photo.
The front door to leave was behind me so I just walked backwards to the door not taking my eyes off of him and he continued to look at me then as I put my hand on the door handle he vanished! Completely shocked right now I don't think I'll sleep. And yes i was alone and no one else came with me!

I can’t understand those saying it’s a smear on the door .... I can clearly see a figure standing behind the door, it’s clearly further away from the glass.

I’ve always wanted to see a ghost, vowed I wouldn’t be frightened as I’m very intrigued .... I saw one many years ago and I was scared shitless! I woke up in the night and a figure was sitting on my bed ... got such a huge shock ... within seconds she was gone.

I’ve been so annoyed with myself ever since for being so scared. I so wished I’d not been - would have loved to have seen how it progressed.

It's not on the veranda, it's his reflection, he was inside with you op.

Don’t know what it is but it does look like a man , not saying I think it’s a ghost though.

Are you (and your friends) 100% sure they don't have a stalker?
It does look like a person but I'm sure it's not a ghost
I would be much more concerned about them having a person watching them in their house on a daily basis.

I absolutely believe. It's clearly not dirty marks on the glass AND like OP saiid, it was looking the sky and she saw it turn around to face her and the owners have seen it. We have at least one ghost (very old cottage) and I'm disappointed it doesn't look like Beetlejuice!

Looks like a lumberjack and a bear looking over his shoulder to me, I bet it’s just condensation on glass and the owners are winding you up.

As I have said earlier i can see the verandah railings through him as I looked outside and was trying to focus on what was out there

The light is from the light in the kitchen

The house is on the second floor so no way for him to get in or out other than from that door.

Definitely not in the house with me. House is completely empty just from me feeding the fish! I'm 26 and petite im definitely not an older man which it appears to be and it's certainly not my partner he looks where near like that!
The male owner- husband is a FIFO worker so wasn't in the same state and doesn't look like that, and the female owner- wife was 4 hours away looking after her parents!
Turns out my husband is just as scared as me and is refusing to go back so I messaged his wife late last night with the photo and she is returning later this evening instead so she will be looking after her own fish 😂😂

I’m quite woo but it just looks like a dirty pane of glass to me. Get the owner to clean her windows and I bet the figure will stop visiting.

@Macncheeseballs God no my house is on their right (left if you are looking from their street) so he was standing on the right hand corner of the railings so 'm glad he isn't staring at my house.
The couple are an older couple (mid 40's) and have told me (Believe me or not) the railing im corner he stands in has been painted off white several times but everytime it does get painted it's still a grey colour which freaks me out even more!!!

I had a go at changing light levels to see if it made it any clearer.

Dirty glass. He “vanished” as you leaned to touch the handle because moving changed the angle at which you could see the light reflecting on the glass.

I love threads like this because every single one is explainable without ghosts.
