Ghost in house

So I was house sitting tonight by myself just to feed the person's fish and leave. They have "joked" about seeing a ghost who stands in the corner of their verandah outside (I'm in Australia) and to my surprise I see him standing right fucking there!!! He was facing towards the sky then slowly turned to me and just started staring at me I never looked away from him but had my phone in my hand and quickly took this. Anyway, to not identify myself or show the persons hoise contents, I have zoomed in the photo.
The front door to leave was behind me so I just walked backwards to the door not taking my eyes off of him and he continued to look at me then as I put my hand on the door handle he vanished! Completely shocked right now I don't think I'll sleep. And yes i was alone and no one else came with me!

Well clicking on this thread as I've just got into bed was a very fucking bad idea Grin

The glass is spotless (the female is actually a bond cleaner so loves to have an immaculate clean house) so I'm not going to clean their window that's just strange. I have only been in the house twice since they moved in (friendly but not friends, just talk to each other as we see each other) once to have a cup or tea around the same time they moved in and the second time was when i went to feed the fish!

What's the worst that's going to happen if you have it out with him?

PickAChew · 04/04/2020 23:23

Window needs a proper clean.

Tp93 · 04/04/2020 23:23

@Purpleclownsuit I was actually at the door when I took the picture. Hence why I had to zoom in the photo so I didn't show the owners house contents so no change of angles

@Macncheeseballs

That really made me laugh Grin

I believe you op .But i believe in ghosts , have seen more than one and had experiences that can't be explained away .

Innitogether · 04/04/2020 23:34

I’ve seen a ghost. It was a man in a flat cap stood by a bookcase. It’s only happened once. My old boss is a very no-nonsense barrister who has a ghost cat in his house. I believe there are other ’energies’ around us but I didn’t think a camera would capture them. That’s spooky.

onemorerose · 04/04/2020 23:42

Ohh it does look like a man staring in at you.

kate1800 · 04/04/2020 23:57

I should not have read this thread before bed! I am a huge believer in ghosts and have had experiences and am now too scared to get up and use the toilet!

juneybean · 05/04/2020 00:04

But what about the 6 foot rabbit behind him...? Just me?

SecretWitch · 05/04/2020 00:07

It appears to me that he is wearing a long trench coat with a white shirt.

You are very brave, op. I would have screamed and fainted and probably woke up to him standing over me.

EngagedAgain · 05/04/2020 00:12

I don't think fish need feeding every day. (completely misses the point!)

HeIsAVeryBadBoy · 05/04/2020 00:16

Oh fuck! I would be full-on shat myself.

HeIsAVeryBadBoy · 05/04/2020 00:17

*have

Iateallthecookies000 · 05/04/2020 00:41

Bloody hell Shock I believe you op you have no reason to make stuff up. I dunno how you sleep though I don’t think I could.

Purpleclownsuit · 05/04/2020 01:04

You were at the door when you took the picture (ie at the correct angle to catch the light shining on the grubby, or condensation or marks that light pick up that the eye doesn’t see, however clean a window is claimed to be). Then “he” moved because your angle shifted. Even moving slightly, shifting your weight while you zoom in, the general slight sway people have, etc will change your perception of a shape.

100% more likely than a ghost.

PutThemInTheIronMaiden · 05/04/2020 01:13

I’d say this was a classic case of pareidolia

...because it is.

Reginabambina · 05/04/2020 01:16

Did he move at all? I just wonder whether something hasn’t been put in the window in order to create the imagine in certain light conditions? How old is the house?

FunkyKingston · 05/04/2020 01:20

You need to take a cloth and a bottle of Mr Sheen to that window you clarty bugger.

lalafafa · 05/04/2020 01:21

Freaky

FunkyKingston · 05/04/2020 01:22

I’ve seen a ghost.

No you haven't because they don't exist.

I believe there are other ’energies’ around us

No there isn't.

managedmis · 05/04/2020 01:46

Why's he wearing a flannel shirt in Aus?

LouiseCollina · 05/04/2020 01:47

What’s with all the freaky geometric shapes that showed up behind him when you adjusted the light levels OP? Looks like something outta Predator! Also why didn’t you and your husband go back in the flat together? That way neither of you would have been alone. I wouldn’t have been able to resist having another look, but I definitely would have dragged him with me! Shock

SoleBizzz · 05/04/2020 02:10

Looks like a skull and a huge oversized coat. I see no goatee beard.
