Anyone else finding themselves watching TV - like a drama or something and wondering why the people aren't two metres apart and have they washed their hands thoroughly? Not to mention walking in crowds!

Absolutely!...Before lockdown, ?I visited a friend who coughed into his fist-edge, touched a magazine, then tried to show me said article in magazine...
I said ''K, you have just coughed all over your hand without washing them...''
Seems people are just utterly unaware :(

Ah yes smoking - it is kind of a similar thing. It's so weird to see people in films/TV smoking in pubs, waiting for trains etc.

I've also been inside for nearly 2 weeks now so it doesn't seem that weird.

The adverts have felt anachronistic over the past week, although the first guilt tripping charity advert pulling at the CV heartstrings has been sighted...

Newsround had a clip showing how to keep active. From the bustling square in Manchester and the lack of distancing, it must have been pre-recorded more than just a few days ago.

I'm noticing on TV and radio, far more phone-in/ video links than guests and asking people to email contact rather than phone due to staffing changes.

I've really enjoyed the first few series of The Handmaids Tale. I'm guessing it would feel even further to be uncomfortably true when the new series is released.

There will be a lack of filming for programmes to be aired in the next year, not unlike the US directors strike several years ago, but worse.

thought it was me being a bit slow. it took me until the final of portrait artist 2020 to realise that the judge is not pregnant "again" its the same baby......just recorded last summer.

It's weird how loads of the radio and tv adverts are no longer relevant.
Centre parks/holidays
Restaurants and eating chains
Cars (not sure if they count as essential but doubt many folks are buying)
Betting - what's left to bet on? I suppose you can still do online poker/bingo etc?

Yes!, was just saying that last night, was sitting watching SATC and kept almost wincing when anyone went near anyone else. Glad it's not just me!

DH is still working. When he gets home he always kisses me/hugs me but after a day in my sanitised bubble (home) I’ve been pointing to the sink first. Even then I’d rather he changed out of his clothes.

Yes, I found myself backing away from DH and the dogs when they returned from their solitary walk!
Also getting most uncomfortable with pre Covid TV and literature. A character in a book was getting ready for a party and I was rolling my eyes. Going on the Tube, touching rails, door handles, kissing her friends, aaagh.
I'm not sure I will be able to do any of that ever again. I'm not even sure I'll be able to leave the house.

I was watch EE on Monday and my mind went "how come they can all go to the pub?"

Then I realised I can't even remember the last time I actually went to the pub!
Even eating out in a pub type establishment only happen about 6-8 times a year!

I also keep singing the song "don't it always seem to go - you don't know what you've got TIL it's gone"

@Greenpop21, my DH is still having to go to work, he's been putting his clothes straight in the washing machine and have a shower when he gets home. Work shoes, coat and bag left in the porch. Iirc they were told at his work to do this (civil service)

He gets changed anyway. His shirt and pants in the wash daily but not everything (jumpers etc) . His work place is small and they’re all spaced out, doors wedged open, hand gel everywhere etc

Someone rang my doorbell yesterday morning and I literally felt violated.

Plus he drives so no public transport.

I knocked on my elderly neighbour’s door this morning and stood right back. Wanted to ask if they needed anything from the Co-Op. They wouldn’t answer.
