AIBU to ask fellow Mumsnetters your favourite conspiracy theories?

Where it be about lizard people, 911 or the Government man-making Coronvirus to kill off the vulnerable, what conspiracy theory sends a chill up your spine?

Sorry if a little dark but I have to admit I love a good conspiracy theory and figured I wouldn't be the only one! Plus I need some bedtime reading...

I kind of believe the one that Hitler survived and did not kill himself at the time. I don't know why though

I can believe that the right crisis and pandemic will start a more controlled totalitarian /police society gobally whilst using media to impose fear and death on the masses oh I love Orwell and Huxley yeah I like that conspiracy b

Well a certain country recently removed all internet ( I assume to stop eavesdropping) but not before vowing revenge on the west.

How does a relatively poor impoverished country take down the west which includes probably the worlds biggest superpower.

If you like podcasts there are loads of interesting ones on the Parcast Conspiracy Theories one - listen through Google podcasts but I imagine it's available in most places.

I've lost hours listening to them!

Ooh... ‘The Men In Black” google the back story of a paediatrician interested in UFOs then look at the cctv footage around thirty years later in a hotel .
Freaked me out.

I hate conspiracy theories, but my dh loves them and tells me all about them One he is convinced is real is the twin towers collapsed due to explosives already being there and not the planes. The owner, who I can't remember now, but he took out an insurance policy the day before, which included planes hitting them.

Oh and also, not a conspiracy as such but WHAT ON EARTH WAS GOING ON in the Elisa Lam footage???

I hate people like your husband (not a personal thing, obviously) but they are the type to talk of crisis actors, and accusing witnesses of making lies up and pretending they were part of a tragedy when they weren’t. It’s fucking disgusting, and completely heartless for the parents and families and friends that person was known to.

Death photos of Bin Laden weren’t released either. Photos of Saddam and Gaddafi were.

@TheMistressQuickly I'm sure there were photos of Bin Laden published VERY early hours after he was reported dead, I swear I saw them on Sky news but no one else seems to remember this!

@yatapina I remember reading they wouldn’t release them just incase it made him a martyr? I have seen photos which were alleged to be fakes. Who knows
