Where it be about lizard people, 911 or the Government man-making Coronvirus to kill off the vulnerable, what conspiracy theory sends a chill up your spine?

Sorry if a little dark but I have to admit I love a good conspiracy theory and figured I wouldn't be the only one! Plus I need some bedtime reading...

This is probably all just a simulation. Life on Earth I mean, not this virus. Any day now that 14 year old alien kid 1 billion light years away/in some other universe is going to forget to click “Save Game”, or just throw his device against the wall in an alien adolescent strop and boom, there goes not just us, but the entire universe. This theory actually has quite a lot of backers. The universe is so vast that vast numbers of intelligent life and, therefore, massively intelligent virtual life (that’s us!) is almost inevitable. Any species more intelligent than us will most likely have delved deeply into artificial life creation/artificial reality. Yes I’ve had a couple of glasses, but the theory is actually pretty darn hard to refute. Bit of a head fuck as well.

The nearest proper galaxy to us is 2.5 million light years away. The human brain starts crying at imagining 0.01 light years.
2.5 million light years meanwhile, in universe terms, is the equivalent to your next door neighbour.

I love reading about Flat Earth, it's my absolute favourite! There's just something delicious about the artists' impressions and models of the Flat Earth surrounded by an ice wall and encased by a dome. And they're completely batshit in a really earnest, endearing way.

Also obviously if the Earth is flat then logically the moon landing was faked as a piece of Round Earth propaganda

If our earth was the size of an apple, the largest know star would be approx 20km in diameter. Approximate anyway, I worked it out sitting on the toilet a couple of months ago.

Inner Earth and portals being at the north and South Pole. No planes being allowed in the air space above them and so on

I love the Paul McCartney one. The evidence is quite strong imo. However it’s a huge coincidence that they have found someone who looks exactly like him and can sing as good as him.

Katy Perry being Jon Benet Ramsey (Full apologies if I’ve spelt it wrong) Granted the birth years don’t match up but. It’s not impossible for it to have been falsified.

9/11 still gets me. It just doesn't make sense.

The latest one I'm hearing about the coronavirus is that it's a cover up for 5G poisoning as it just went live in Wuhan and Italy. I really don't want this to be true but nothing surprises me anymore.
I do worry about the health implications of 5G, it has not been tested and we are all guinea pigs.

I read one the other day about the Statue of Liberty. People remember it used to be on Ellis Island but apparently has never been there and has always been on Liberty Island. Also people remember visiting the torch level and pictures exist from these visits but the torch has never been open or hasn’t been open for years and years. I’ll see if I can find what I was reading.

This was definitely caused by North Korea, they released infected snakes into China. My neighbours brothers friend told a friend of a friend, it must be true!

The vast majority of conspiracy theories are garbage, and often no more than two steps away from some vile anti-semitism or similarly alt-right nonsense.

My all-time favourite remains the flat earth conspiracy. I'm ashamed to say that my uncle believes this (and other theories, particularly government ones, he's terrific at family gatherings). When asked about what happens when you reach the edge, he assures me that there are soldiers (fighting for whom, I don't know) that do something to make the traveller believe the illusion that the planet is spherical. NASA photos are bogus propaganda.

My favourite silly conspiracy is the Keanu Reeves is Immortal theory. there's a dedicated site!

I do believe 9/11 was an agitprop event and revenge for the millions of deaths in WW2. However, the blame has been going solely to one country whereas in fact it was a nexus of countries and very powerful criminal interests.
