Advert for Kitkat came on. He says he's not sure he's ever eaten a four finger Kitkat. Two finger yeah, perfect for a post lunch sweet treat, but faced with the choice of any chocolate bar, he definitely wouldn't go for a Kitkat.

I initially thought this was outrageous, but now I think he might have a point.

And I can't find the voting button...

Is he BU??

@merryoldgoat we've got a few kitkats in the biscuit tin. Swap you them for a toilet roll?

AmputatedSoul · 15/03/2020 20:52

If you're going to have a kitkat of any sort then it needs to be a chunky 😋

Pinkywoo · 15/03/2020 20:52

Thanks @SlayingDragons, I'll add them to the online shop!

Winterlife · 15/03/2020 20:55

Four fingered KitKat bars are the norm in Canada. I don’t think you can buy smaller sizes, other than in large boxes of mixed chocolate bar treats.

Whatisthisfuckery · 15/03/2020 20:56

Dark mint maybe, maybe, but the normal ones, no. I don’t go for Kitkat Chunkies either unlike DP who likes the peanut butter ones.

The chocolate bar that has always perplexed me is Fudge. Faced with all the mouthwatering array of choccy bars in a shop, who on earth thinks ‘ooh, Fudge, I can’t resist.’

MitziK · 15/03/2020 20:58

They ceased to serve their purpose when the foil wrappers were discontinued.

PlopTeeth · 15/03/2020 20:59

Prefer a Chunky KitKat myself.

As a side note, anyone who eats a KitKat like this, needs shooting!

I never liked KitKats and boycott Nestle anyway

Rosebel · 15/03/2020 21:01

Was never keen on KitKat until I got pregnant this time. Now I can't get enough of them. Wasn't happy they were out of stock when I went shopping.

StampMc · 15/03/2020 21:02

Can’t think of any chocolate bar that I wouldn’t choose over a kitkat. Even regular biscuits are nicer. I might choose one over a squashed fly biscuit or a malted milk but that’s about it.

MrsDoylesTeaBags · 15/03/2020 21:03

MitziK I used to love eching the print onto the foil, but they're not the same now. The peanut butter chunky ones though, now that's something else.

Doggodogington · 15/03/2020 21:03

Twix over kit Kat every time! Who are the weird ones that pick a KitKat over any other chocolate?

amusedbush · 15/03/2020 21:03

@PlopTeeth

My colleague bit into a Kit Kat like that last week and I gasped so loudly he jumped and looked really alarmed. My other colleague noticed the Kit Kat and called him a savage 😂

The next day he had another and he broke the fingers apart, then grumbled that it tasted different Grin

Forgone90 · 15/03/2020 21:07

@SavoyCabbage

Topic? Have a word with yourself would you.... Haha if we're talking a snack then a time out wins it everytime.. Can only get small ones in a multi pack now tho... I do like a viscount aswell!

Barbararara · 15/03/2020 21:07

For me the appeal of a (Rowntree’s) Kit Kat was the hope of finding one with missing wafer.
Even if I didn’t boycott Nestle I’d hold a grudge for their excellent quality control that ruined my childhood favourite.

WitchQueenofDarkness · 15/03/2020 21:10

I'd go with out a chocolate bar rather than support Nestle by buying a KitKat!

cleanasawhistle · 15/03/2020 21:11

I love a KitKat but its a biscuit and not a chocolate bar.....very nice with a tomatoe cup a soup for some reason

Forgone90 · 15/03/2020 21:12

Oh and a daim bar.. Or even better the huge bag of them you can get at IKEA.. If my wife ever wants to drag me round IKEA and I clearly don't want to she will give me a look and then tell me she will get me a big bag of daim from there.. I'm sold after that...... Slightly concerned this may be some sort of abuse now I think about it? Ah well its worth it for daim bars :)

........
I can't imagine dunking one in tomato soup but needs must I suppose, I mean there's Brexit and the dread you know what (CV).

SmallChickBilly · 15/03/2020 21:14

I would rather have nothing than a Kit Kat - no idea why, as I'm usually an 'any port in a storm' kind of sweet-tooth, but they do nothing for me. An Aldi Chunky though - that's a treat I will never turn down, despite the very name reminding me why I should!

PlopTeeth · 15/03/2020 21:15

@amusedbush 😂😂😂

munchbunch12 · 15/03/2020 21:18

I'm not a big fan of Kit Kats, although the Chunkys are OK. My favourite choc snacks have to be Double Deckers or (Biscuit) Boosts though, Mmmmmmmm.......

thenightsky · 15/03/2020 21:22

Many years ago, when I was at college, we had a vending machine that dispensed 5 finger kitkats.

That was 30 odd years ago and I've never seen them since.

Clevererthanyou · 15/03/2020 21:24

Tesco kitkats are vile bleurgh!

Toomuchsky · 15/03/2020 21:24

Finding out that the middle bits of kitkats are made from mushed up kitkats blew my mind.

Does that mean there’s a molecule of the first ever kitkat in every one of today’s kitkats?
