Selfish dicks selling 47p Aldi handgels in eBay for £18?

Legoandloldolls · 04/03/2020 10:45

I wish Ebay would add a category to report these arseholes.

If some twat wants to buy a 47p product for £19 then knock yourself out. Darwin's theory at play there.....

But seeing OAPs asking in shops for this knowing some utter low life has bought the entire delivery to sell on eBay gives me rage.

I bet Ebay love their cut. I would report it but theres no category.

Arseholes. Yes I am aware I need to get a life and go back to looking for a last minute fucking world book day costume in my dress up pile of doom, but this is why I hate humans and hope viruses kill our species off somedays

Seller - if you see this you are a bellend of the highest order

But nobody has to buy it, soap is much better for getting rid of virus anyway.
Couldn’t get worked up about this.

PurpleDaisies · 04/03/2020 10:50

That’s capitalism.

Hand sanitiser isn’t an essential item. Hand washing with soap and water is just as (I’d not more) effective. People haven’t gone crazy over soap.

JuneFromBethesda · 04/03/2020 10:50

I agree with you OP. Absolute arseholes.

HowlsMovingBungalow · 04/03/2020 10:50

More fool them if anyone buys at £19.

Toddlerteaplease · 04/03/2020 10:51

And people are stupid enough to buy it? In that case we are all doomed!

Legoandloldolls · 04/03/2020 10:52

It's the old dears in the shops looking for it that has given me the rage. I bet these sellers would sell their kidneys for profit.

I hope they get explosive diarrhoea and can only buy a loo roll for £25 Grin

  1. I don't agree with it, definitely takes a certain type of person areshole who tries to profit at a time like this.

  2. but it's business, if people didn't buy it - it wouldn't happen.

fivesecondrule · 04/03/2020 10:53

I can't believe how much some people are prepared to pay for 50ml of hand sanitiser! Crazy!

WinterCat · 04/03/2020 10:55

Antibac doesn’t help with a virus though so perhaps they are inadvertently saving people who think otherwise 47p. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Soap is still available which is the best thing to use and if all the antibac has been sold, hopefully it means more people will use soap which is the right thing for them to be doing.

MulticolourMophead · 04/03/2020 10:55

We must be a bit gung ho in my area, loads of these on the shelf in my local Aldi.

AnneLovesGilbert · 04/03/2020 10:55

I bet these sellers would sell their kidneys for profit. their choice. Like planning ahead and selling stuff for a mega mark up. Like wanting hand sanitizer, which is horrible unnecessary stuff.

PerfPower · 04/03/2020 10:55

If antibiotics won't cure Covid19 (because it's a virus), then why would an antibacterial hand gel prevent it? It's not a bacteria is it?

picklebarrelfalls · 04/03/2020 10:57

*It does if it is above 70% alcohol.

Winter, stop it. You're on every sodding thread. Read the gov FACTUAL website on it.

Averyyounggrandmaofsix · 04/03/2020 10:58

I think shops should ration it - I understand some are.

Legoandloldolls · 04/03/2020 10:59

Yes its bonkers people are buying it.

Obvs not people who have stood at a till in Aldi/ lidl/ primark. Theres no choice but to stare at the random items, forget you already have hand gel in your baby bag and buy more while you debate if you can throw your 20p pasta in the trolley faster than it can be scanned

It will have to do.

My reply - unwashed? unkempt? untidy? Wink

Rosehip10 · 04/03/2020 11:02

Proper hand washing is a help for virus transmission, relying on hand gels and feeling somehow protected is not.

Sux2buthen · 04/03/2020 11:02

Awaits post about 'old dears' being ageist Grin

DingDongDenny · 04/03/2020 11:03

People keep saying soap and water is just as good, but you can't carry a sink about with you

The hand sanitiser is great for when you are out, using public transport for example

I agree OP - it is really selfish, we should all be thinking of how to prevent the spread of infection, particularly for people who are likely to be at risk. Not profiting from it

MrHodgeymaheg · 04/03/2020 11:03

Yup, total fuckers, but we all knew this would happen.

As I'm still breastfeeding, I'm figuring that If I get the virus, my breastmilk will be worth £££. Grin

Pilot12 · 04/03/2020 11:06

I'm sure that the manufacturers of anti bac gel have realised the shops are sold out and have gone back into mass production. The shops will be restocked soon then the cf's will be stuck with three years worth of gel they can't get rid of!

Sparklfairy · 04/03/2020 11:08

Is the listing for 1 X 50ml or 12? Cos the pic suggests 12 but title says 1. In which case you can report it OP for being misleading Smile

HowlsMovingBungalow · 04/03/2020 11:10

None in our Aldi's usually there is loads of it near the tills.
Agree with people not being able to wash their hands as and when they want or need too. DP is a taxi driver and can't wash his hands freely. He isn't fretting but he does use anti bac gel due to all the money he handles.

Sparklfairy · 04/03/2020 11:10

Wait it's 20 in the pic!

Can you imagine the disappointment when people buy these expecting 20 and get 1 Shock
