Selfish dicks selling 47p Aldi handgels in eBay for £18?

Legoandloldolls · 04/03/2020 10:45

I wish Ebay would add a category to report these arseholes.

If some twat wants to buy a 47p product for £19 then knock yourself out. Darwin's theory at play there.....

But seeing OAPs asking in shops for this knowing some utter low life has bought the entire delivery to sell on eBay gives me rage.

I bet Ebay love their cut. I would report it but theres no category.

Arseholes. Yes I am aware I need to get a life and go back to looking for a last minute fucking world book day costume in my dress up pile of doom, but this is why I hate humans and hope viruses kill our species off somedays

Cheers @woodchuck99, I might look into that if the world hasn't burned before they get stock back.

I'm generally more worried about bacterial infection, as turning those into a huge medical crisis has become my premier superpower!

DingleberryRose · 04/03/2020 17:54

Wish I’d thought of this! 😂

okiedokieme · 04/03/2020 17:55

Plenty of anti bac soap in Lidl today - if you really want hand sanitizer just get alcohol from a hardware type store (ok we got some from university supplies) and put in a little bottle.

Branster · 04/03/2020 18:01

Well, what do you expect, if there are idiots wanting to buy the stuff, someone (perhaps les scrupulous) will sell it. Ebay actually bans sales of overpriced items related to the Coronavirus scare. If it annoys you that much, you can report it.

Branster · 04/03/2020 18:02

I would report it but there is no category - you can just email ebay directly with the listing ID and link to the item

viques · 04/03/2020 18:03

chocolateteapot I wouldn't fret about all those doddery old people profiteering from their houses bought when interest rates were 12 or 15%. Those houses will all be in probate sales in a couple of months. That'll serve those profiteering old biddies right won't it.

Legoandloldolls · 04/03/2020 18:11

Hey I'm far to lazy to report one seller via email.....

There are hundreds of sellers doing it and well.... I'm not THAT incandescent. I have book day to rage over. Maybe I can launch my DOS email attack on Friday at 4pm. Until then BOOK DAY COSTUMES. Sheesh! These hand made tinklebell outfits dont sew themselves! I have 196,987,000 leaves to hand felt!

There's no need to touch doors after washing your hands in a public toilet. I haven't touched one since I was a little girl (and I remember being told off) and doubt anyone in my immediate family has. We were all taught to use a tissue to touch things in publicz so toilet doors, taps, etc.

Also not to hold onto hand rails, touch buttons with fingers, knuckles are better or get someone else to do it. Lots of other things to mitigate germs also.

But people are disgusting, just watch when they leave a cubicle at how many do not wash their hands...

flirtygirl · 04/03/2020 20:51

Also if people are stupid enough to spend £18 then I'm sorry but they deserve to be ripped off.

To the poster who needs it for her job, why haven't you got a stash of it? Everyone laughs at people with stashes but if you like a product or need a product, why do people not have extra as a norm?

Some averse have to use the handrails. We are not all perfectly able-bodied.Hmm

So stupid people deserve to be ripped off? Have you ever thought that some people may be particularly anxious about this virus and it may be for good reason? Not everyone has a low risk of death and saying that they deserve to be ripped off because they are anxious about it is really nasty.

woodchuck99 · 04/03/2020 21:08

averse of us

Rosspoldarkssaddle · 04/03/2020 21:46

Pour 70% vodka into a container to about 1/3
Add 10 drops tea tree oil
Add 10 drops lavender
Top up with aloe vera gel
Shake
Job done.

I bought a load when I went back to work in January (I've been off for 18 months due to illness) but I don't get a chance to get to Boots very often. Hit it up last week to restock and shelves were bare!

I have alternative.
Put vodka in a container
Add lime juice.
Add sprite.
Add cranberry juice.
Top up with ice.
Shake.
Consume.

Beat the virus from the inside🤙

Agree. Plus if all these fuckers hadn’t bought it up to profit from then they might have been able to get some in the shops as normal

DirtyRotter · 04/03/2020 22:07

It will be cough sweets next, if my local petrol station and corner shop are anything to go by.

Welshmaenad · 04/03/2020 22:38

clutches bag of Jakemans menthols to chest

DecemberSnow · 04/03/2020 23:12

Boots are selling max 2 per customer.
Thats what every shop should do

It's not going to be over 60% alcohol if you dilute it with other stuff!

GoatyGoatyMingeMinge · 04/03/2020 23:37

I don't really get the problem. If I had any I'd be selling it too. People are willing to pay £18 or whatever it is. Who are you to tell them they can't?

woodchuck99 · 04/03/2020 23:40

Because price-gouging is immoral.

ALongHardWinter · 05/03/2020 00:14

More fool them if anyone buys it at that price. And,I would also add, that despite the vast numbers of bottles of this stuff being sold, why have I yet to see anyone in public use it?

CatAndHisKit · 05/03/2020 00:25

ebay has sent a message to ALL sellers that they will stop listings that obviously profiteer from Covid-19!

So they don't love the cutm bit unfair. They might I suppose allow a very small profit but nothing like some selfish idiots aer trying to make. But it's too late kind of, as they've already emptiedthe shelves. No shop in our town has any (well I havent checked all supermarkets but still...)

CatAndHisKit · 05/03/2020 00:25

this was this afternoon for the 1st time, by the way, so they haven't taken all the listings down yet.

flirtygirl · 05/03/2020 00:31

I'm particularly anxious about this virus but I'm not stupid enough to spend £18 on a 47p hand gel.
