It is done, what will be will be... what is the point in getting stressed over it now?

'Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.'

Couldn’t you have posted on one of the many many other threads?

You could say that about a lot of things but it doesn't make them any better.

DesdemonaDryEyes · 31/01/2020 22:38

Evidence for what?

LellyMcKelly · 31/01/2020 22:38

Stop talking complete bollox and using crappy twee quotes. It’s pathetic.

heartsonacake · 31/01/2020 22:38

YANBU. People need to stop whining.

Fatasfooook · 31/01/2020 22:39

If you need to tell yourself that to feel good about it than fine, but you will see that it won’t be fine. It isn’t fine.

rosie1959 · 31/01/2020 22:40

Totally agree and I voted remain

KC225 · 31/01/2020 22:40

Totally agree with you OP.

Babyfg · 31/01/2020 22:40

Totally agree with op. What's the point in worrying it's all out of our hands (which ever way you voted).
I switch off from it now. If ever I raised an option on it you you're beaten down by very opinionated people on either end of the spectrum 🙄

YABVU. It will not be fine. It will be a disaster for those already struggling and for those not yet on the breadline. It has divided the UK in a way that will take at least a generation to unite. We’ll be lucky to keep Scotland and NI as part of this union. If I lived in either of those countries I would be campaigning for independence.

The tolerant, diverse, accepting Britain I was once so proud to be a part of doesn’t exist anymore. I’m not actually sure it ever did. It has been taken over by the Right wing disaster capitalists, supported by the billionaire-owned tabloids.

So thank you for your patronising request to “get over it” but I decline.

Oh knock it off.

I'm not "getting over it" and you have no fucking right to suggest I do.

Dora26 · 31/01/2020 22:45

Wonder will you be singing the same song this time next year....

Lifeonmars77 · 31/01/2020 22:45

You can carry on getting stressed about it, but it will make no difference to the outcome of Brexit... it will only impact your own mindset. If you're ok with that, then carry on. Personally I'd rather let my own mind be taken up with things I can actually do something about x

MaxNormal · 31/01/2020 22:45

Go away, just go far far away. People are bloody devastated about this, have a modicum of grace while we go through the actual wrench of it.

Cinammoncake · 31/01/2020 22:46

It remains to be seen whether a no deal Brexit will happen at the end of the year. So saying 'we'll be fine' seems premature.

It misjudges peoples strength of feeling to say 'just get over it'

I do understand that people just want it all to be fine though.

sweetkitty · 31/01/2020 22:46

I agree @ChazP

I’m Scottish I used to be pro-union but since the stories came to power, Brexit, Farage, rise in right-wing racism I find myself more and more pro-Independence.

We are the turkeys who just voted for Christmas

Well duh...

ilovesooty · 31/01/2020 22:48

Well if you're happy to let your mind be taken up with deciding to post goady bollocks...

Sunshinegirl82 · 31/01/2020 22:53

Repeatedly saying "it will be fine" doesn't actually make it, you know, fine.

No one knows what it will be, that's one of the reasons I'm so angry about it.

Lifeonmars77 · 31/01/2020 22:54

Nothing intentionally goady about it. I appreciate that people are 'devastated' etc. But seriously, what is the point? Just because you're sad about it, will not change where we are! So surely we just have to make the best of what has been dealt to us? What is 'goady' about that?
