It is done, what will be will be... what is the point in getting stressed over it now?

'Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.'

So why say you have many reasons to be happy if you don't?

If you truly are at rock bottom then I'm sorry to hear it, but so are many of the people you're goading here tonight. Having a bad time yourself doesn't entitle you to make yourself feel better at the expense of others also in a dark place. I stand by my comment that your behaviour is crass.

Lifeonmars77 · 31/01/2020 23:36

Well it's done now, there's nothing we can do about it. Calm your tits unless you have any actual influence in whats going on. If you don't, then it's just wasted energy... but it's your energy to waste as you wish. Fuck it, Six Nations starts tomorrow! Grin

@MordredsOrrery because however shit things are, there is always something to be thankful for. One persons rock bottom is another persons goal. It's all about perspective, please don't judge x

Remoaners have shown their true colours by the vile language used at leave voters

Sadly, yes; it reminds me of what happened after the election result

It's almost as if some expect to call others c*nts and still be taken seriously ...

FlourBug · 31/01/2020 23:41

If I don't hang on to the reasons to be happy and stay positive (however few they may be) then I risk everything. So, please do not call me 'crass' for trying to find the positives amongst all the negatives that have tried, unsuccessfully, to destroy me so far.

But why try to force your opinion on people that don't feel the same?

ScreamedAtTheMichelangelo · 31/01/2020 23:43

Don’t judge, says the person starting a thread specifically to poke people for not feeling as they do about Brexit. Hmm

Greatblue0wl · 31/01/2020 23:43

Well it's done now, there's nothing we can do about it. Calm your tits...

Charming!

Horrible day, marked by union flag wavers.

kittykatkitty · 31/01/2020 23:43

Op I agree with you.
I'm just so sick of it all and now I'm glad it's done and dusted.

ohhkay · 31/01/2020 23:44

The will of people has been honoured - we need to accept this and move forward.

Said as remainer.

Lifeonmars77 · 31/01/2020 23:46

@flourbug Can you please point out where I've tried to 'force' my opinion on anyone?

ScreamedAtTheMichelangelo · 31/01/2020 23:46

Done and dusted. ConfusedConfusedConfusedConfusedConfusedConfused

kittykatkitty · 31/01/2020 23:48

Yes, we are out. The rest is out of anyone's control. No more bleating on about people's vot or second referendum

FlourBug · 31/01/2020 23:48

@flourbug Can you please point out where I've tried to 'force' my opinion on anyone?

By starting a thread telling people to 'get over it' when you know the strength of feeling. On the day of leaving. Let people be.

Lifeonmars77 · 31/01/2020 23:49

@Greatblue0wl Can you please advise what positive impact your bitterness will have on the overall impact please? How will it help? I am genuinely interested.

I'm concerned by the level of vitriol that's been unleashed in this country, the successful propaganda and the precedent that's been set. But go ahead, make it all about a single issue. That's how we got in this mess in the first place. Hmm

Lifeonmars77 · 31/01/2020 23:51

@FlourBug Fair point. If people want to get upset about something they cannot change then you are totally right. Let them be.

OP posts:
FlourBug · 31/01/2020 23:52

Bet you won't though

Selmababies · 31/01/2020 23:53

Well it's done now, there's nothing we can do about it. Calm your tits unless you have any actual influence in whats going on.
Such a ridiculously blinkered and ignorant statement.
You're a right goady fucker OP.
And who the fuck do you think you are are, to tell anyone to 'calm your tits'?

Sunshinegirl82 · 31/01/2020 23:55

Actually I don't have to accept it. I won't be accepting it.

Unusualsuspicion · 31/01/2020 23:56

Done and dusted?!!!! Fuck me. The political illiteracy is jaw-dropping. We aren't even started yet!

MordredsOrrery · 31/01/2020 23:56

One persons rock bottom is another persons goal. It's all about perspective, please don't judge x

If only you could have applied this advice to yourself and not begun this thread, rather than upset other people whose issues and priorities are different to your own.

Lifeonmars77 · 31/01/2020 23:57

Because... I can say what I want, as can you xx

OP posts:
EagleVisionSquirrelWork · 31/01/2020 23:57

I appreciate that people are 'devastated' etc.

I feel devastated. Not 'devastated', thank you. Don't be so patronising. And yes, crass.

FlourBug · 01/02/2020 00:04

Because... I can say what I want, as can you xx

Yes, deliberately goading, as suspected. Like I said earlier, all very Big Brother, trying to control how people feel - it's not enough to have 'won', they want people to admit that brexit is over and there's nothing more anyone can do about it.

Nice try

wheresmymojo · 01/02/2020 00:04

The point of stressing about it is that I'm leaving my current work contract today and unable to find a new one due to Brexit.

So zero income in our household from tomorrow for bills or the mortgage - so forgive me for telling anyone who says 'don't stress about it' to fuck right off.
