Having a small party to celebrate, home already decorated with flags and balloons, playlist sorted planning on playing We Will Survive at 11pm. Both remainers and leavers will be coming as we are all adult enough to respect we can have different opinions. Happy Brexit everyone.

TooGood2BeTrue · 31/01/2020 09:13

Is this meant as satire 🙄?

FunnyInjury · 31/01/2020 09:15

It's the tax return deadline and I've just had a message on screen saying the government gateway is down 🤷‍♀️

I dont hold out much hope for anything the government does and wouldnt trust them to run a piss up in a brewery.

NachoFries · 31/01/2020 09:16

Sorry OP but your username is too funny Crown Grin

greenlobster · 31/01/2020 09:16

Yes definitely. Happy Brexit day!

Can we start the zombie apocalypse now please? I think it's time.

JeezyPeeps · 31/01/2020 09:16

I'm not sure either TooGood2BeTrue.

tttigress · 31/01/2020 09:18

Happy Brexit day!!

Likethebattle · 31/01/2020 09:26

I’m going looting, who’s in???

unbalancedBella · 31/01/2020 09:29

I'm sure that this is posted just to wind people up.

The only positive I can think of is that the Brexiters will now have to own the entire shit-show.

ladyvimes · 31/01/2020 09:30

Please tell me this is a joke thread!!

Whowantstogotothepark · 31/01/2020 09:31

"antidemocracy"

I would define this as using a referendum and propaganda to influence voters. There is evidence of electoral fraud and data-mining in the referendum. It was bollocks.

Sorry to be a party-pooper but I truly believe that 52% (cough!) of the population should not get to dictate to the other half of the country. And I believe that that figure is less than 52% now.

Another thing, there is no democracy in the UK with the 80% right-wing press. Democracy consists of 4 pillars and one of those is an independent and transparent media, which does not exist in the UK. Democracy is not "we won - get over it".

Antidemocracy = brexit. I am f*ked, my family is f*ked. Like I say, sorry to poop on your party, but that is my reality.

You asked.

SilverySurfer · 31/01/2020 09:31

Happy Exit Day - I'm so excited, it's been too long a wait but here we are. Hope everyone is stocked up with champagne.

Don't let the whiners spoil the day or the thread.

Happy brexit day
Seaweed42 · 31/01/2020 09:33

Boris is not appearing in person at tonight's party to address his nation.
He pre recorded a video instead.

LisBethSalander07 · 31/01/2020 09:35

I'm excited for today.

It's been too long coming.

Happy brexit day
MaxNormal · 31/01/2020 09:36

Here's a poem to celebrate.

Happy brexit day
malylis · 31/01/2020 09:36

Happy leaving day, you don't know what you won, or why you wanted it.

farage4PM · 31/01/2020 09:37

No idea why some people think this thread is satire. It's genuine.
I'm a patriot and proud we are getting our country back. We will no longer be dictated to by unelected and unaccountable beaurocrats.
We will save billions not paying into the EU failing federal dictatorship. Anyway, it's best to get out now. In a few years, there won't be an EU left to escape from!

OP posts:
malylis · 31/01/2020 09:38

We were never dictated to.

We had influence in policy setting.

The EU is not a dictatorship.

Hope this is satire.

MilkTrayLimeBarrel · 31/01/2020 09:40

Totally agree OP! I think several EU countries are jealous of us. It will be interesting to see if our leaving precipitates further campaigns for withdrawal,

Villanomme · 31/01/2020 09:40

I hope this is a joke.

At least you can now all own this shit and if I hear even one complaint from a Brexiteer about how their life is harder, I will take great delight in in raiding my eyebrows and childishly saying "told you"

ThePlantsitter · 31/01/2020 09:40

Both remainers and leavers will be coming as we are all adult enough to respect we can have different opinions.

Hope they don't decide you don't need your TV and throw it out the window. If they do, just remember it's a difference of opinion about the value of TVs! I'm sure you're adult enough.

BritneyPeedOnALadybug · 31/01/2020 09:40

Some sad and embarrassing behaviour from both sides.

I can’t believe people are going to be celebrating with a party and think things will immediately change. Confused

I also can’t believe people think we will turn into a 3rd world country because it will immediately change. Hmm

rrg1 · 31/01/2020 09:40

Brexit without the exit!

Villanomme · 31/01/2020 09:41

Raising my eyebrows, not sure how I'd raid my already sparse eyebrows.

BritneyPeedOnALadybug · 31/01/2020 09:42

@Villanomme
if I hear even one complaint from a Brexiteer about how their life is harder, I will take great delight in in raiding my eyebrows and childishly saying "told you"

That says a lot about you...
