To think that a lot of genuinely beautiful people ruin themselves with plastic surgery etc?

As a self confessed utterly ugly bug I just can't understand it... There are truly beautiful women out there who do it to themselves time and time again and end up almost caricatures of themselves.

Just a thought after seeing the latest pics of Catherine Zeta Jones who was incredibly gorgeous. Not a caricature yet, but perhaps in danger of going there.

I think we are becoming accustomed to seeing so many women especially on TV that are heavily Botoxed that standards of what looks normal is changing

Ten years ago looking this way we would have all said they look a bit ridiculous now it’s well they don’t look quite as bad as xyz so they look quite good

This is honestly one of the things that truly mystifies and floors me.

I mean, who does Madonna think she's kidding. Everyone on the planet knows she's well over 60. What is in her mind?

I agree. Poor Jesy. Her face is all out of proportion, she looks like a skull. The saddest thing of all is she thinks she looks amazing

It's a weird trend in Hollywood that when you reach a certain age you look like you're wearing a mask of your former self.

This entire thread is sad. If you were more happy and fulfilled in your own life, you wouldn't feel the need to criticize other women.

Hear, hear… this is a horrible thread, being snarky about other women (and some unsuspecting men) and posting pictures of them to “prove” how horrible people think they look.

Credit card swipe cleavage check , tits bigger than a bouncy castle, hair extensions, lips plumped to labia glossed proportions , fake tan, weight loss , lazer eye surgery then they present her in front of the ex boyfriend ( out of the bandages) Would you consider going back out with her. He nodding enthused at how they have pimped his ride and then they have a prom reveal of friends and family Q close up of teary eyes. I can only watch and think wasn’t this part of Goebells masterplan and it looks like the plastic surgeons just carried the mantra . Every Surgeon seems to ignore their own advice and are allowed faces with Character. There is a Sebstian Tellier film set in the future where everyone is homogenised with surgery . It’s called Steak . As they say don’t over egg the pudding sometimes I think that it must be addictive like doing up the house. You have new floors now the cupboards look shit . Today is so vulgar and obsessed with ourselfs appearance, children are being rammed with ‘perfection’ down their throats at every opportunity. There’s nothing more beautiful than a woman/girl who loves herself truly the way she is. Can’t blame children for what there being brain washed in, my niece who is only 17 has turned round and said she wants lip fillers, needless to say she watches crap like love island where these people are paid to indorse these big companies products such as fillers, Botox ect……..disgusting

So sad that women can't just look their age. Men go grey and get called distinguished but when women do, they get called old by both men and women. I don't care if I look my age, that's my age!

Chosennone, I had a gastric bypass so once I’d dropped 10stone I felt amazing and could breath normally, run with my grandchildren and sleep without snoring or stopping breathing! So I had my loose skin nipped and tucked an eyelid lift etc… I think and actually so does everyone else, look gorgeous!

I agree - most plastic surgery just looks weird and creepy in the flesh - I often see quite young women with mouths like Donald duck - I can't imagine anyone finding that attractive

I find it really sad that young girls now feel the need to have synthetic lips and Botox , teenagers feel ugly and want these treatments , so many young women look like clones with big lips , big breasts and flat faces😱whatever happened to women’s lib !!!!

You have been blessed, but you have had a bit of help....just admit it, at least make me feel better about my sagging, aging old jowls and wrinkles..

Only seen real housewives a few times and I think because there all in the same circle they all get it done and they all encourage each other and as a result they actually do not know how bizarre they look, when I catch it it’s like looking at strange creatures. I also find it ageing, and as for Botox yes let’s inject botulism into ourselves that’s never going to go wrong is it.

I was thinking exactly the same when I first looked at this thread. She has matured into a beautiful woman and her face is not wrecked at all, looks natural. Living in France may have helped, the cosmetic surgery performed there is far, far better than here but we don't know what, or even if any, work she has had done.

The way i see it, what have we got to lose by working to change the culture that says the worth of a girl or woman resides largely in her appearance?

We all need to fight the urge to focus on female appearance and instead make it about character.

Charactercharactercharacter is how i will be responding to any thread or rl comment on a female appearance from now on.
