Strange post received

I have received 8 tickets from ticket master through the post this morning, total £315
No one in my house has any recollection of ordering them and stranger still they are addressed to my 10 year old DS, the address is correct except for one digit of the postcode. Have checked my bank and credit cards etc no payment has been made either, so would you contact ticket master? Keep them? Sell them??

OP posts:
smemorata · 17/01/2020 19:24

I have however googled the incorrect postcode and there is a house with the same name
Sounds like it's their tickets.

multivac · 17/01/2020 19:29

Shamelessly placemarking. Sorry, OP!

Hangoverstruggles · 17/01/2020 19:33

Following!

Theresomethingaboutdairy · 17/01/2020 19:35

Also watching this with interest...

RandomMess · 17/01/2020 19:36

Yeah cock up with the address I reckon!

Or....

Identity theft? But they've cocked up getting it sent to you not them but that sounds unlikely as DS only 10.

Psychologika · 17/01/2020 19:36

That would be quite the coincidence!

TheVeryHungryTortoise · 17/01/2020 19:41

Following to see outcome!

Crunchymum · 17/01/2020 19:44

Has to be the other house.

What are the chances though? Shock

ConsolidateTheBiscuits · 17/01/2020 19:52

There is a patient registered at our local GP's with the same name (quite unusual) and same date of birth as my daughter, so stranger things have happened!

whatisheupto · 17/01/2020 20:07

Have you checked your Paypal accounts?

TestingTestingWonTooFree · 17/01/2020 20:18

I wouldn’t sell them on, if this was a mistake there’s a chance the tickets will be cancelled.

Heeelllooo987171717 · 17/01/2020 21:18

Oooh waiting for an update

Yoohoo16 · 17/01/2020 21:21

I’ve got 2 friends with the same name, well I did have. 1 is now married so a different surname now.
Stranger things have happened.

Whatnametoday5 · 17/01/2020 21:25

I have quiet a rare name (first name & surname) when I was looking to move and spoke to the agents - odd they spoke to me initially like they knew me...I then found out a relocation specialist from the area had the exact same name - they thought I was her!

IndieTara · 17/01/2020 21:39

Def invested...

Dangerfloof · 17/01/2020 21:45

The concert isn’t until November? Very unusual for the tickets to be sent out immediately you purchased them, it’s usually a few weeks before event
I've had both happen, ordered tickets, arrived same week and ordered tickets and biting my nails until 3 days before the event. I go to a lot of gigs. I usually order as soon as I hear that someone is touring so up to a year beforehand.

Notimeforaname · 17/01/2020 21:53

Am I the only one who's dying to know who's playing the gig?!

Beansprout30 · 17/01/2020 21:57

Following for updates Wink

Notlonely · 17/01/2020 21:59

So odd!

Often the simplest explanations are right which is why conspiracy theorists do my nut in

jakeyboy1 · 17/01/2020 22:33

Placemarking to find out what happens!

Also to say The Ticket Factory is a lot easier to use and safer that Ticketmaster - belongs to the NEC Group but sells nationally.

MintyMabel · 17/01/2020 22:34

sigh

It isn’t Alexa. The system can’t order tickets from a random discussion, it would need a set of specific commands and an account already set up to order from ticket master.
