Do you wear foundation everyday to work?

I recently started a grad scheme. This morning I realised I had run out of foundation. My reaction to the prospect of going into the office without it really surprised me.

Everyone my age wears make up.

No not ever. Am 44. It's quite noticeable in my workplace that the more senior you are the less likely to be wearing any obvious makeup. And strangely, none of the blokes seem to feel any particular need to wear it so I'm not sure why I should. I make sure I'm smart and neat and I don't smell or anything and feel that is quite sufficient.

But matt powdery foundations can age anyone if not applied well (I don’t like the feeling of these foundations)

My nan still went out with her face made up into her 80’s i put some lipstick, powder and blusher on her when she was really ill (dying) she wanted me too, it was a very close moment for us and made her happy

Full face of make up here - whether in office or wfh.

I always wear foundation to work. Sometimes just powder foundation if I run out of time. My skin is v uneven and blotchy. And pale.

Plus it has spf in so protects my skin from aging/burning etc and because of my sun triggered rosacea.

Nope, just a tiny bit of light bb cream, and to be honest that's mainly for the spf. I only wear foundation for proper nights out/special occasions, find it too heavy for daily wear.

I would love not to wear make - up everyday, but my skin is terrible so I'd feel really vulnerable without it.

Never wear make up to work. Never have. I hate the feeling of make up on my face but always make sure I am clean and tidy, don’t smell etc and wearing appropriate clothes. My work has never had an issue with the way I present myself at work. I am 28.
