to take the attention away from the fact they probably have a sex offender in the family I.e. Prince Andrew. Who’s with me??
The timing is very convenient, and the royal household/ mandarins are certainly making a lot more fuss about this than they did about Prince Andrews friendship with a pedophile...
I think Harry is taking one for the team.

BrokenHeartedAndBruised you sound like you need some Flowers and a Brew

Equanimitas · 10/01/2020 01:12

She's 93, I doubt she particularly cares.

BrokenHeartedAndBruised · 10/01/2020 01:20

@GirlDownUnder, thanks.

I don't know why I ate all the pies. They were just there once I opened the box.

It was the talk of cheese on toast that started it.

I didn't want H to marry M. He is his mother's son.

BrokenHeartedAndBruised · 10/01/2020 01:24

Now I can go back to my talk of mince pies.

She's american, divorced, successful and beautiful. The press were going to hound her

Nat6999 · 10/01/2020 01:57

TheFox&theMole I have seen online that Cadbury's are producing them but haven't seen them in the shops yet, they have only been announced in last 34 hours, just had a google & it works out that you get more mini eggs for your money if you buy ordinary bags & the same amount as if you bought the creme eggs without the tin. They would be great as presents but for value for money there are better ways to get more for your money.

GirlDownUnder · 10/01/2020 02:06

As a ‘go together’ I can heartily recommend a good bitey cheddar with a mince pie, also with Christmas cake.

And if I’m being decadent Christmas cake fried with bacon and banana.

Just putting that out there Halo

Whowantstogotothepark · 10/01/2020 02:12

Grandma lets grandson do want he wants to distract from son's dubious history is not a conspiracy theory.

A conspiracy theory is "an explanation of an event or situation that invokes a conspiracy by sinister and powerful actors, often political in motivation, when other explanations are more probable. "

Mummyoflittledragon · 10/01/2020 02:26

Maybe imagine these are Min Spies. Biscuit Biscuit

How can circa 25% of the respondents believe this to be a conspiracy. Weird.

eaglejulesk · 10/01/2020 03:27

I just had my first creme egg of the season.

Whaaaaat - we've only just had Christmas!!!!

eaglejulesk · 10/01/2020 03:34

I bought some apricot and cardamom mince pies recently - they were so nice I had to get another packet!

PhilCornwall1 · 10/01/2020 04:52

The amount of threads on the "Royal Resignation" is baffling. Does anyone real care?

I've just seen in the news that Sparkle has pissed off to Canada. The sooner drippy boy joins her the better. Perhaps then they won't be in the news every five minutes for doing bugger all.

Nanamilly · 10/01/2020 06:15

OP, you're not being unreasonable - you're being absolutely ridiculous.

Bouledeneige · 10/01/2020 06:45

I know people within the inner circle. M& H are doing this on their own and not listening to their own advisers. Which explains why they have been a PR disaster - they are not listening to anyone. H has got worked up and now has a drive mentality - he may nit be very well.

AllideasAndNoAction · 10/01/2020 06:50

I think you are over thinking things. Just a tad.

I never buy all this ‘story A has been fabricated/exaggerated to deflect from story B which is huge and embarrassing.’

The public are not goldfish with three second attention spans. They are capable of being concerned about more than one thing at once.

JanusLooksBothWays · 10/01/2020 06:57

So many YABU’s - just you wait though, in 50 years when the records are released, it’ll show the ‘palace’ put up this whole show to free that boy and cover up for the pervy uncle.

You sound desperate and unhinged, OP.

Maybe seek help.

NutRoastNancy · 10/01/2020 07:02

If only this were true! 😂

LlamaPjama · 10/01/2020 07:08

@Bouledeneige do you know how pretentious that sounds??

"I know people within the inner circle." Are you a member of the RF?

MilkItTilITurnItIntoCheese · 10/01/2020 07:10

I’m with you OP. Whether by design or accident or certainly helps the Royals to divert attention. Yes the Andrew thing is dying down - but it shouldn’t be should it? IMO he should be be allowed to just go quiet. Good for Harry and Meghan I say.

SunshineCake · 10/01/2020 07:10

Don't be silly

Cam77 · 10/01/2020 07:11

I think the damage from the Andrew debacle was/is well and truly done. The whole concept of monarchy in 2020 is a freak show. You can’t cover it up by playing another episode.

Cam77 · 10/01/2020 07:13

The Royal Family and their advisors aren’t clever enough to Mastermind anything - see the inspired plan of the Prince Andrew interview which apparently went swimmingly.

I've wanted to move to Canada for years. Lucky them!

Walkaround · 10/01/2020 07:22

If anything, the Prince Andrew saga is another reason behind the Harry and Megan behaviour. They have made a big thing of supporting women’s rights. It’s hard to do that if you stay close to Uncle Andrew. Maybe not talking about him is part of their negotiating position in finding a way to break free. Whatever, being a trapped bird in a gilded cage, constantly on show and there to be simultaneously pampered and abused is a pretty shitty life.

Whatsitthingy · 10/01/2020 07:33

’Grandma lets grandson do want he wants to distract from son's dubious history is not a conspiracy theory. ‘

Look at the hoopla tho? She’s been ‘insulted’ the palace are let down etc etc
It’s all been manufactured.
