Does anyone agree with the continuing claims particularly amongst a lot of celebrities claim that the uk is fundamentally racist particularly in relations to Meghan-Markle.

I think as a country she was welcomed with open arms.

Many say the educational system is affected too. And now we have a racist PM so.....

Utter rubbish in regards the education system, the losers there are almost always white.

Could someone please explain what is meant by racism ?

It started as a “I don’t like Serena” post. However turned into an incredibly interesting and valuable discussion on women of colour in sport and more widely surrounding racism on MN.

I think England must be much more raciest going by the posts on MN. Live in Scotland and I experienced someone being raciest once when i was around 14. 29 now.

Compared to other developed nations England is eye wateringly racist in every sense of the word, to its core .. and the reaction to Meghan has shown to world how we welcomed the first bi-racial woman to the royal family slowhandclap

Absolutely. I would never identify as racist, but I know I have white privileged, and that I need to listen more and try to understand better.

I don’t care if the thread ends up like Swiss cheese, it’s not exactly onerous ti scroll past deletion messages, and there are a little of thoughtful, thought-provoking posts here.
