Trump scares the hell out of me. Is there going to be WWIII?

Why shouldn't Trump respond when the U.S embassy and Americans were attacked?

If Americans in a foreign country are being attacked maybe it would be better to get all the Americans out of that country rather than killing the military leader responsible and ensuring even more Americans get killed?

I was particularly disgusted by a photo of Trump and a clutch of evangelicals saying it was what Jesus wanted (or similar) and all standing with heads bowed and eyes closed, the hypocritical bastards.

@SchadenfreudePersonified I found this scene particularly creepy and disturbing.

“To advance its hegemonic agenda, the United States has consistently resorted to terror operations against enemy states. Two prominent examples are in order. In 1979 the CIA launched ‘Operation Cyclone’ to fight the Soviet Union in Afghanistan creating Al Qaeda as part of its proxy force. In 2012 the CIA implemented ‘Operation Timber Sycamore’ by using an offshoot of Al Qaeda to attack the Assad government in Syria. That group of killers evolved from an organization known as Al Qaeda in Iraq to eventually become the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS).

To combat Al Qaeda and its step-child ISIS, the United States deployed its military forces in Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria to fight the very terrorists it had created. To add to the deception, the United States has played a double game of attacking the terrorists in some places (Mosul, Iraq) while supporting them in other places (Idlib, Syria), all the while conveniently setting up permanent military bases in the Middle East and Central Asia to protect its empire, its access to oil and the apartheid State of Israel.”

Mujahideen, al Qaeda, isis

All the same , created by the yanks

Riv12345 · 05/01/2020 23:35

We were talking about this at work yesterday, terrifies the life out of me !!!

RoundWithAFridge · 05/01/2020 23:40

I don't know about WW3, none of us can say yes or no for sure.

I guess cyber attacks, lone wolf attacks and some ME fighting.

My friend suggested Iran want to bring about something to do with a 12th man end of world type event and the USA want to bring about Armageddon. ConfusedSad Not a great end game.

Ocarinan · 05/01/2020 23:41

@pinkyyy

If you think the world is safe in the hands of a racist, sexist manchild, all the best to you. I for one am counting the days until he leaves office and hope that the next president isn't quite so chummy with men like Mike Pompeo.

It's almost funny that in the run-up to the 2012 election he was speculating that Obama would start a war with Iran to get re-elected.

TheWorldturnedUpsideDown · 05/01/2020 23:47

Omg, I was going to make comment about the irony of calls for peace across the world but... Trumps still tweeting and then in saw the comment about trump being a racist sexist man child.

Compared to leader of Iran?? Really????!

Trump is the most enlightened, intelligent, progressive person compared to the atollah!!
.

HeresMe · 05/01/2020 23:50

Yeah was going to join in but Jesus trump is a baby compared to the intolerant racist piece of shit in charge of Iran.

FruitcakeOfHate · 05/01/2020 23:52

No.

PlanDeRaccordement · 05/01/2020 23:53

Give Iran 3 months they will have nukes pointed at every US base in the world

If they do, it will mean Saddam did smuggle warheads to them and the Iraq wars were entirely justified. It would also mean a US invasion of Iran would be justified. I hope for their sake, they do not have any.

RemediosVaro · 05/01/2020 23:53

The truly rich and powerful do whatever they like because they will never suffer the consequences. They will never fight in a war. They implement clandestine operations, overthrowing foreign regimes and killing foreign leaders, because that's what they need to do to stay rich and powerful. And that is the only thing they care about.

We the have-nots suffer, and yet we continue to vote them into power and follow their leadership.

FordPrefect42 · 05/01/2020 23:54

Goodness me no, it’s a load of scaremongering that’s managed to find its way onto social media in the form of memes to get impressionable teenagers worked up over nothing.

Something tells me the UK won’t get involved; Boris Johnson surely must realise that, given how small our country is, it would be a ridiculous idea to rub shoulders with Trump here, and get involved. Here’s hoping he does the right thing.

PlanDeRaccordement · 06/01/2020 00:00

Trump wouldn't attack Iran if it did have nuclear weapons. Because he would not know what the outcome would be.

He’s a egomaniac who thinks he is the smartest, bestest president in the history of the world and you think he’s going to do the sensible thing.

@Janesmith14 we are all part of the ultimate statistic.

Notagainnnn · 06/01/2020 00:09

1500 parents couldn't even have a memorial for their kids killed at a protest. Many were murdered and arrested for trying. These people stone women for not covering their heads, this week! You can't compromise with these brainwashed terrorists. Being firm is the only way, not paying them billions or being soft and weak.

Ocarinan · 06/01/2020 00:16

@TheWorldturnedUpsideDown

Not being as bad as the Iranian president doesn't make him good. And AFAIK no one on this thread has expressed admiration of Hassan Rouhani.

midnightmisssuki · 06/01/2020 00:19

No. But then again, i can't see into the future. Apparently no one else can either so we all just hedge our bets and guess. 50/50.

Notagainnnn · 06/01/2020 00:21

And people saying "world isn't safe in hands of a sexist man child Trump"

Have you looked at real facts of how many women this terrorist killed? Have you looked at how this regime treats their women? Have you seen the comments he made about Trump? How they want all of America to die?

He makes Trump look like a saint!! You lot hate Trump so much that you are willing to choose a sexist terrorist who has killed thousands over trump who actually managed to hold a successful misson and hit his target. Unlike them lot who can't hit shit and don't care that they can't?

Iranians are celebrating! They have taken photographs of fruit etc with thank you messages to trump it's all over social media! They've graffitied on walls over the in celebration! Just like here, there are paid protestors over there for the news

Legoandloldolls · 06/01/2020 00:33

Just another war of words and surprise in terrorist attacks possibly.

It is quite interesting when you think that one persons hero is another's terrorist.

Makes me wonder who the bad guys really are

schoolcats · 06/01/2020 00:38

Something tells me the UK won’t get involved; Boris Johnson surely must realise that, given how small our country is, it would be a ridiculous idea to rub shoulders with Trump here, and get involved. Here’s hoping he does the right thing.

Too late, he's already said:

"Given the leading role he has played in actions that have led to the deaths of thousands of innocent civilians and western personnel, we will not lament his death," Mr Johnson said.
"It is clear, however, that all calls for retaliation or reprisals will simply lead to more violence in the region and they are in no one's interest."

TheClaws · 06/01/2020 00:40

We are already in WWIII and probably have been for at least the last year or so. It just hasn’t been labelled as such.
