Trump scares the hell out of me. Is there going to be WWIII?

5 top Pentagon officials resigned in a very short space of time in December. Whatever Trump is doing, I think it's fair to say not everyone thinks it's a good idea.

Also Clinton did exactly the same thing when he was fa img impeachment look it up it's all to take attention away from that.

Do you think there's going to be a WW3?
ACautionaryTale · 05/01/2020 22:53

@LizzeyBenett

Exactly

chomalungma · 05/01/2020 22:54

Give Iran 3 months they will have nukes pointed at every US base in the world. Including the lovely little area you call the Midlands

You can't blame them.

Having nuclear weapons is supposed to stop countries being threatened by other countries and gives you a stake at the table.

I bet Trump wouldn't attack Iran if it did have nuclear weapons. Because he would not know what the outcome would be.

Cryingoverspilttea · 05/01/2020 22:55

The UK army has been beefing back up with a huge recruitment drive for a couple of years now. I believe this may become the start of the reason why Sad

I think pinkyy is pie eyed. Send me whatever it is you're drinking.Hmm

Littlemeadow123 · 05/01/2020 23:00

If there is a world war 3, no one will win. With today's advanced weaponary, we'd blow this planet to bits. Which is why I think there won't be one. The human race won't let it get that far. We're self destructive but not that self destructive.

Pinkyyy · 05/01/2020 23:01

What the hell @Ocarinan? Firstly I'd like to know where you got that from? Secondly, any need for the personal attack?

VivaLeBeaver · 05/01/2020 23:01

I wonder if all those Pentagon officials are actually resigning or if Trump is forcing them out so he can replace them with “yes men”. Both scenarios are bad but if Trump is forcing people out and dressing it as a resignation I think that’s worse.

@isabellerossignol - I think that was always orthodox - but we never left a space for Trump, Kim Jong-Un, the rise of nationalism in India and religious ideology in Pakistan and Israel feeling surrounded and at the same time emboldened.

I remember reading a letter Jackie Kennedy wrote to Khrushchev after the Cuban missile crisis ; she said she was never worried , they were both big men, big enough in the final analysis to lay their ego down - she knew one or other would back off.

Where are the giants the world so badly needs? I don't see them anywhere

chomalungma · 05/01/2020 23:04

All this is going to do is just create years of war. If Trump does bring down a disproportionate response on Iran, including cultural sites, it's just going to create more enemies. More hatred. A cycle of violence.

People with nothing to lose can put up a hell of a fight.

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 05/01/2020 23:06

No

There will be no doubt a few attacks from both sides, sadly Israel maybe in the firing line again, any attack on the ME from America will whip up support for those in power regardless of what is happening in the country (as it would anywhere in the world)

Sadly this along with the impeachment will likely strengthen Trumps popularity

KatyCarrCan · 05/01/2020 23:06

If you read political analysts in the region then this isn't going to lead to WW3 (their intelligence also says this didn't come from Trump and they're not Trump supporters so have no reason to lie about it). So a better question is why are people pretending this could lead to WW3? Who is invested in getting it trending, spreading panic, etc? Yy it could be Trump to distract from an impeachment that is never going to make it by the Senate or it could be about oil again etc

mokapot · 05/01/2020 23:07

Do you think there's going to be a WW3?
Notagainnnn · 05/01/2020 23:07

Why shouldn't Trump respond when the U.S embassy and Americans were attacked?

When a bully picks on you do you just give them your lunch money and take a kickin'?

chomalungma · 05/01/2020 23:10

Why shouldn't Trump respond when the U.S embassy and Americans were attacked

Does the US have any responsibility for what is happening in Iran at the moment?

For the economic sanctions its put in and the hardship that's caused?

For pulling out of the nuclear deal?

Is the US blameless in the Middle East? Has it not got any blood on its hands?

InsertFunnyUsername · 05/01/2020 23:11

Social media has a lot to blame for scare mongering ww3.

You can refresh Twitter every other minute and be faced with "breaking news", peoples reactions or a Trump tweet. Without instant access would people panic so much.

FriedasCarLoad · 05/01/2020 23:11

@Leaannb

I'm so very sorry. That's appalling. I'd have felt disappointed just to read that you were made to feel unwelcome, but that is just, well, shocking. I felt ashamed to read it.

ButterflyRuns · 05/01/2020 23:12

When a bully picks on you do you just give them your lunch money and take a kickin'?

Don’t even know where to start with this one because it’s such a silly comparison to make.

The implications are too far big for Trump to be fluxing his muscles for votes (not to mention to distract Americans from impeachment)!by literally assassinating Iran’s main military commander in a third country.

mokapot · 05/01/2020 23:16

@Notagainnnn
Ha!! In that case we should destroy the USA ...they are swimming in a river of blood
