Women and fox hunting

Name change for this but regular poster.
Seeing all the fox hunting activity on social media over Christmas and New Year mainly the shocking incident in North Yorkshire where a hunt supporter repeatedly hit the hunt protesters car with a dead fox.
There was a few women and young children in the group supporting the hunt, why? I don't understand how anyone can support chasing terrified animals and letting dogs tear them apart. Even if they dont take part themselves they must know if their partners go out 'lamping' or badger baiting. How they can live with themselves.
AIBU to think these women are brainwashed by their partners?

I know absolutely loads about hunting and the bottom line is that the hunt sabs are professional trouble makers as a PP said, the hunt monitors are welcome and peaceful as a PP said, and by the way, for the 200th time, hunting by the law is allowed, encouraged and there is fuck all you can do about it.

WhatshouldIdo123 · 04/01/2020 18:26

the hunt monitors are welcome and peaceful as a PP said
And yet they are still attacked...

WhatshouldIdo123 · 04/01/2020 18:27

hunting by the law is allowed, encouraged
And foxes/hares are still being killed week in week out

Pardonwhat · 04/01/2020 18:29

WhatshouldIdo123

Gosh. Where has a hunt monitors been attacked?
My bet is it was an altercation between a sab and a hunt follower.
Sabs are not what they portray themselves to be.

WhatshouldIdo123 · 04/01/2020 18:33

I'll take that bet ex-copper had his neck broken when he and his son were attacked while filming a hunt

Pardonwhat · 04/01/2020 18:37

That’s awful.
What’s your response to one hitting me with a car as a child? Aren’t you going to condemn that?

Or let me guess - you’ll tell me it didn’t happen as it doesn’t suit your agenda.

Like I said - monitors I appreciate. And I think they’re actually useful for ensuring hunts are mindful of hunting within the law. Sabs are not.

Trewser · 04/01/2020 18:37

The hunt monitors are treated with respect at any hunt I've been to.

Anyone who deliberately tries to frighten kids by jumping out in front of a pony wearing a mask deserves everything they get afaic. The kids are taught to try not to react as if they look scared or cry the sabs will film them,.put it on Facebook and say something ludicrous like 'this spoilt brat cried when we stopped her fun today!" like the frothing mouthed weirdos that they are

This fox was killed only yesterday. Hunt employee removing its body. Here's your legal trail hunting in all it's glory

Here’s a nice video of some hunt monitors being attacked.

Trewser · 04/01/2020 18:39

Oh, and going back to a horse trailer to find that the bottom has been littered with broken glass -.anything to say about that? Real animal lovers!

Pardonwhat · 04/01/2020 18:40

If you go on Hunting for Truths Facebook page you’ll see a nice picture of some sabs being arrested this evening for being armed.
There’s good and bad to all sides!

WhatshouldIdo123 · 04/01/2020 18:40

What’s your response to one hitting me with a car as a child?
Oh dear..... what did the police say?

Pardonwhat · 04/01/2020 18:40

They took a report.
It was pre-cctv everywhere and in the fluster we hadn’t got a registration plate.
I’m not sure why that evoked an ‘oh dear’. I was a child. An innocent child.

VivaLeBeaver · 04/01/2020 18:42

More hunt staff attacking hunt monitors

Yeah sure.

Trewser · 04/01/2020 18:43

Foxes are far more important than children pardon

Anyway, those children might be from well off families so they deserve everything they get as far as people like whatshouldido are concerned.

Freddiefatpants · 04/01/2020 18:43

@Pardonwhat

I'm starting to get that feeling too. I don't agree with hunting for my own reasons but I've shared my experience with sabs further back and that doesn't fit the narrative either.
Sabs are just as bad, and are doing so in the name of animal welfare. Any idiot could work out that the best way to be taken seriously isn't to endanger, hurt and scare other animals in the course of what you're doing.

WhatshouldIdo123 · 04/01/2020 18:45

Anyway, those children might be from well off families so they deserve everything they get as far as people like whatshouldido are concerned

Be careful.

Trewser · 04/01/2020 18:47

It was quite a thing 2 years ago whats. Everyone needed to ensure their trailers were completely closed up if they were left.

When it first happened a woman was leading her horse up the ramp and luckily it crunched underfoot before her horse stepped on. There were a few other incidents over the next couple of weeks until the police turned up to keep an eye.

I'm sure that doesn't quite fit your narrative, but hey ho.

BovaryX · 04/01/2020 18:48

Oscar Wilde nailed it
The unspeakable in full pursuit of the uneatable

Tony Blair, along with his other catastrophes in his catastrophe strewn CV, managed to botch banning it. And so it goes on.

VivaLeBeaver · 04/01/2020 18:48

There’s a picture of a sab in handcuffs, so yes being arrested for something. Hunting for truths say he had a chain. Cheshire Hunt sabs say a hunt monitor had his head smashed open by a rider.

I wasn’t there so don’t know what happened. I suspect you weren’t there either. I do know that in general the police are very biased towards the hunt and don’t like sabs. Which is odd when the hunt are breaking the law. I’ve seen videos where the sabs tell the police they’ve been assaulted and the police shrug and say the video isn’t clear enough so take no action. And I’ve seen videos where riders say the same and the sabs are arrested with no video evidence.

Trewser · 04/01/2020 18:50

Yes, because the police realise that it's the sabs who are the real problem, that's why. And because hunting is legal, as I keep saying.

WhatshouldIdo123 · 04/01/2020 18:50

When it first happened a woman was leading her horse up the ramp and luckily it crunched underfoot before her horse stepped on

I agree.... that is completely unacceptable.

Trewser · 04/01/2020 18:50

Yes he regrets ever doing it at all bovary.
