I was clearing out an old handbag and I found an old bank card for an account I don’t use anymore!! Thought I would check it out...turned out it had over £800 in it!!! OMG!! It’s like a little Christmas bonus from myself!! Yippee!!

ButtercupGirI · 14/12/2019 16:36

I am not rich at all, I just lost £80 worth of delivery, I can almost cry!! When I say I worry about my memory, I do mean it! My dh think I should see a doctor but I know the outcome of it so never bother.

WalkAwaySugarbear · 14/12/2019 16:59

I got a cheque from O2 for £1.27 for an overpayment and interest from about 4 years ago. Not worth cashing in.

@dontsweatthelittlestuff

They will be able to tell you who the registrars are and you may be able to sell them straight away or whenever you feel like depending on the share price

SourAndSnippy · 14/12/2019 17:07

One year we kept getting red gas bills and final warnings.... I’d transfer the money, give out to the husband for forgetting AGAIN
He was trying to tell me he’d paid, I just rolled my eyes, yah yah yah....
Well he had been paying, but it had been going to the wrong account... end of year got a 700 euro refund!!!! OMG! It was incredible! Paid for a trip!

Jente · 14/12/2019 19:22

That's cheered me up. Enjoy!

BaubleTheLumpOfCoal · 14/12/2019 19:26

Aw, how lovely OP.

I remember emptying our old house before moving and dismantling one of the pine chest of drawers we'd had for years.

As we took it apart, saw something hanging down the back - it was my purse! I thought I'd lost it a few years back - had £700 in it.

Was a lovely little surprise during the stress of moving.

Expressedways · 14/12/2019 19:30

I had one of those mobile app savings things that rounds up to the nearest pound and saves it. Forgot I'd set it up as it initially came up with an error about connecting my card, but it had connected and had saved about £80 over a month without me noticing as hadn't checked my statement yet. Not a lot to some but was a nice little surprise

M2B19 · 15/12/2019 18:18

Happy Christmas to you 🥳
