Not a thing

We had a Christmas breakfast though....it wasn’t nice

steff13 · 14/12/2019 02:58

I don't get bonuses but I get to cash in my unused sick and personal time at the end of each year. It was about $3000.

LidiaM · 14/12/2019 03:07

@steff13 thats great !

@Soubriquet bless you, my partner has already been given a trip to KFC and 1w bottles of beer so maybe thats the deal for them... anything would be appriaciated of couse but still, we would prefer a single tenner instead ..

I get about 5000 usd but the bonus is performance linked so hardly full of festive cheer Xmas Smile

bluetongue · 14/12/2019 03:27

Nothing. There is a team dinner paid for by our boss but it’s a painfully hipster place where you have to use google to know what the ingredients are so I’m not sure I’ll bother.

Amazingly, teachers in Victoria, Australia, get a Christmas bonus every year.

Lobbilob · 14/12/2019 03:58

My bonus is about 1600 before tax. Work in finance. Every employee got a statement and was based on income and certain multipliers. I'd have thought your husband would have gotten some more confirmation by now.

Josephinebettany · 14/12/2019 04:56

I get absolutely nothing.

YerAWizardHarry · 14/12/2019 04:58

I get the pleasure of working Christmas eve and Christmas day Xmas Wink

FrenchyQ · 14/12/2019 05:05

Got mine yesterday.. It works out at about 10% of my annual salary... Minus sick days and deductions. I ended up with about £800.

DoTheHop · 14/12/2019 05:09

Back in the day, my Dad used to get a turkey.

I've never received a Christmas bonus from an employer. We got our annual bonus at the end of the fiscal year, so beginning of April.

Sometimes we were brought out for drinks, but that was it.

Lamborghini · 14/12/2019 05:13

Working Christmas Day and no Christmas bonus - nhs. Perks of the job 🤷‍♀️

Chottie · 14/12/2019 05:14

No bonus and no Christmas do. Public sector worker.

DoTheHop · 14/12/2019 05:14

Oh oh oh oh!!! I do recall one year, I had my finger in the pies of 4 different departments, so I got 4 different free nights out. I was young, so I availed of them all until the money went dry, then I went to my real friends (the developers). Same year however there was a crisis where I worked, so I worked late a few nights missing out on the best of the free drink. Got a good bonus that year though! 5 departments come to think of it. 2, I had no business being there, but they invited me along as a token.

Angie6868 · 14/12/2019 05:16

We each got a mince pie from a Tesco mulitipack.

Tablepicture · 14/12/2019 05:17

Nothing. Public sector.

Who told him he'd be getting a bonus, his boss or just another colleague?

Dinosauraddict · 14/12/2019 05:27

DH and I are both public sector - no bonuses in this house!

ListenLinda · 14/12/2019 05:32

Yes, about £540 before tax, financial services. First time ever though

brieislife · 14/12/2019 05:32

No, no bonus here. Either Christmas or annual. Only salespeople get them in my (private sector, large, multinational) get bonuses. It’s a source of dissatisfaction with the other 80% of the staff who aren’t in sales.

Bear2014 · 14/12/2019 05:34

We don't. Used to get £30 worth of free books (publishing company) but not even that anymore. The staff party is still free food and drink though.

PositiveVibez · 14/12/2019 05:35

Everyone in our organisation (about 600 people UK wide) got £250.

I was bloody chuffed and grateful for it!!!

SuperMumTum · 14/12/2019 06:02

Public sector worker so no bonus, no xmas do, not even a mince pie.

maddiemookins16mum · 14/12/2019 06:24

Not a Christmas one (although am due one in January).
We do however get the most amazing Christmas party.

Rezaminelli · 14/12/2019 06:30

Public sector....£5
Not overly grateful of it to be honest. I'd rather they saved to £5's up and bought something that we need on the ward. But hey ho.
