All depends on your sector and your salary!

I don’t get a Christmas bonus ever in current role as bonuses are paid in March/April (company performance, individual performance and salary linked)

However in a previous role (small consultancy) I received £500 bonus every Christmas which was nice. They were underpaying me though so didn’t quite make up for that!!

Elbeagle · 14/12/2019 08:33

No. Bonus is performance linked and paid in shares in June.

IndecentFeminist · 14/12/2019 08:34

Have had one in the past. If it is significant it tends to be in the contract (percentage etc) so if it is more than a token I'd be surprised.

joffreyscoffees · 14/12/2019 08:39

DH gets a bonus every November .. it's a percentage of his salary, think it was 6% this year.

I work for the NHS so no bonus for me!

73Sunglasslover · 14/12/2019 08:45

No - I work for the NHS.

Wineislifex · 14/12/2019 08:46

Pha I wish! I work for the NHS so it’s business as usual, the best we can hope for is a box of chocolates shoved on the desk to share between the whole ward 🤣

adaline · 14/12/2019 08:47

Nothing.

luckygreeneyes · 14/12/2019 08:48

No, never had a Christmas bonus. I get a performance related one in March though

Fridaysgirl17 · 14/12/2019 08:50

My partners company do a fun day out for the families, kids esp this year it was a private screening of Frozen 2 with characters there, a selfie station to play with take pictures, treats for all kids popcorn and drinks for parents and an advent calendar given to all kids on the way out, was fab, partner had a Christmas night out too and he gets a €250 voucher which he got yesterday, pretty good honestly

aveenos · 14/12/2019 08:51

I never ever had a Christmas bonus (I worked for a few different companies, mainly blue chip)....

Ivalueloyaltyaboveallelse · 14/12/2019 08:51

Nothing, work for the NHS.

ClumsyFool · 14/12/2019 08:52

Nope, however, I work in retail so consider the fact that the business is still going and that I still have a job to be a bonus in this climate!

ProbablyPertunia · 14/12/2019 08:53

Anyone who earns under £75k in our company gets £750 at Christmas.

HorridHamble · 14/12/2019 08:57

Nothing. Well, a little bit towards a Christmas meal, if we choose to go, and tbh I’m surprised they do that. We are third sector, and there are a whole host of reasons why a bonus would not be appropriate for us.

Ginfordinner · 14/12/2019 09:01

No. It isn't a "thing" where I work. We are having our Christmas meal paid for though.

bruffin · 14/12/2019 09:03

My last job i was lucky if i got £50 in a card but xmas parties were good.
Current job is NFP so no bonus but nice "events" and a christmas lunch next week.
Before that i worked for a charity again no extra benefits at all and prior to that insurance. Only one company paid a smallish bonus and a hamper on top
DH and DS get really good bonuses in april.

Zaphodsotherhead · 14/12/2019 09:04

I'm in retail. The idea of bonuses is laughable.

My manager might buy me a drink at our Christmas party (for which we have to pay) though.

Thehop · 14/12/2019 09:06

We get £20 in a cracker.

Orangesox · 14/12/2019 09:15

We get an attendance bonus twice a year of £165 one of which is in the Christmas wage; plus an all expenses paid team Xmas meal, a £30 M&S Voucher, a box of beers and a bottle of gin. We’re a luxury glass packaging producer.

The other business I work at (sweet goods, chocolate and savoury snack producer) at Xmas we get a box full of our own products ha! Then in April we’ll get a performance and attendance related bonus.

JaceLancs · 14/12/2019 09:21

Nothing!
I work for a charity
As I’m the manager - I buy all my team a Xmas present
I also buy all the drinks at our Xmas party (out of my own money)

septemberismyfavouritemonth · 14/12/2019 09:23

£50.

LionelRitchieStoleMyNotebook · 14/12/2019 09:25

😂 bonus? I'm public sector so no bonus, pay freeze for around a decade and we have to pay for our own Christmas meal of we want one. We also have to bring in tea and coffee if we want it in the office.

dontcallmeduck · 14/12/2019 09:27

No. The company are providing £3 a head though for our Christmas celebration lunch!

TheHobbitMum · 14/12/2019 09:27

£35 voucher for the shop I work in, look forward to it each year Xmas Hmm

CalleighDoodle · 14/12/2019 09:27

We will probably get a dead pig or A shit waffle sandwich each next friday morning.
