And don’t I bloody regret it. Currently trying to make the inner glass clear again whist I wait for the cleaning stuff to work on the inside.

Haven’t cleaned the oven once since we moved in May. How often do you normally clean your oven?

Always seems like such a big job.

Every week with a deep clean by a specialist company once every 3 months. I wouldn’t cook in a dirty oven.

fascinated · 16/11/2019 13:38

Get man in every 12-18 months. Otherwise, never!

adaline · 16/11/2019 13:39

Ours hasn't been cleaned since we bought the house four years ago.

crazyangel1981 · 16/11/2019 13:39

Haven't done mine since this time last year!

APerkyPumpkin · 16/11/2019 13:39

Never cleaned ours.

APerkyPumpkin · 16/11/2019 13:40

But we don't cook meat in it so minimal grease.

billandbenflowerpotmen1 · 16/11/2019 13:40

Every couple of years or so. Mind you I do remove any burnt bits from the bottom that start smoking. No big deal, food doesn't come into contact with the actual oven and not one person has ever had food poisoning

Northernsoullover · 16/11/2019 13:40

I haven't done mine in 3 years. Its not really dirty though. I clean ovens for other people and it baffles me how some of them get so bad

Sceptre86 · 16/11/2019 13:41

Ashamed to say it has been months. This thread has reminded me that I ought to do it soon.

MyEnormousTurnip · 16/11/2019 13:41

Once a year when a lovely man comes and does it for me for £50.

Brooksey5 · 16/11/2019 13:42

Thanks for making me feel better 😂😂

I’m only cleaning it now because DH cooled yesterday and smoked the kitchen out with that burnt freeze smell Blush

Never. It's a pyrolectic oven. They don't cost much more. Why doesn't everyone have one.

cushioncovers · 16/11/2019 13:45

Just recently got a new oven but my last one was 19 years old and I only had it cleaned professionally once. I gave it a quick wipe around every couple of months.

Thehagonthehill · 16/11/2019 13:46

I have done it once a nice we came here 3.5 years ago.
It's not bad.I have a tray in the bottom that I brush off every now and then. The glass could do with doing.
From the outside it looks clean!

Trooperslaneagain · 16/11/2019 13:49

I cleaned mine for the first time in 12 years. Blew it up.

Lesson learned!

CMOTDibbler · 16/11/2019 13:50

Every few years. I have a non stick thing in the bottom of the oven that someone shoves in the dishwasher 6 monthlyish

Newernewist · 16/11/2019 13:55

The scraper thing, does it need oven cleaner or do you just scrape?

Curlyshabtree · 16/11/2019 13:56

Once a year here, if I can be bothered

woodhill · 16/11/2019 13:57

Do it annually and keep door clean

Biggobyboo · 16/11/2019 13:57

I pay someone to clean it. Blush

Disfordarkchocolate · 16/11/2019 13:59

Never, my husband does the doors every 3 months or so. We have a liner on the bottom of the oven that wipes clean. I have the occasional urge to clean the shelves but that's a quick job really with some wire wool.

Same here, mine cost £450 each. It only takes 9 years of paying for an annual clean to effectively make my ovens totally free. Or quicker than that as when I got my own oven cleaned, it was £80, but it was very dirty.

AgentProvocateur · 16/11/2019 14:02

I’ve had mine for 11 years. I’ve cleaned the inside of the door once. That’s it. And we’re still alive.
