To put my baby boy in shorts with tights?

Someone bought my baby boy a really cute dungaree set, but they’re completely the wrong season as they are short dungarees.
Would I be out the ordinary to pair them with tights!?
The dungarees won’t fit him in the summer and they’re out of stock for me to exchange for a bigger size for summer.

Why are you going on about boys wearing dresses?

The discussion is about gender neutral clothing and how you wont damage your kid by not putting them in overtly gendered clothing.

Tights are not gendered items in and of themselves. Boys can wear pink clothes and girls can wear blue.

It stopped being about boys wearing tights and became about people being insistent that they have raised their child to be gender free. They quite simply have not. My dd3 has worn second hand clothes from her brother and sister. She knows what she likes. It's no big deal.

a pain to change nappies, but otherwise fine.
btw, most german, austrian and scandinavian boys wear tight well into school age. no damage done (too cold in winter, and long johns and socks slip in young kids, and you end ip with cold ankles)

No, it became about people understanding the difference between gender and sex, and not enforcing gender stereotypes on their children and the toys and games they wanted to play.

I used to buy DS plain girls jeggings as standard clothes when he was about 1-2, they looked comfier than jeans and tracksuit bottoms kept falling down.

Not DC related but I buy mens (ok steal DHs) bobble hats in the winter. I must have a giant head or just lots of hair but they are so much comfier. Lots of ladies on the style and beauty threads suggest buying mens jumpers to achieve a more floaty effect.

Boy tights are cute, most crawling boys that I came across at baby groups wore them.

@Pinkyyy is at least honest

@Pinkyyy has managed to get to adulthood without understanding that gender and sex are not the same thing. I wouldn't be regarding her as a role model.

Pinkyyy · 29/10/2019 09:00

There's no need to ridicule me @KindOranges.

Oh gosh I didn’t mean to start a debate.
Just thought I’d update the thread. I have purchased my son some tights from H&M to wear with his dungaree set.
He also owns lots of leggings but I thought tights might look better with the dungarees as they have the built in feet.
Thank you all for your suggestions and input.
