Mystery knickers

A pair of black knickers appeared (clean) in a pile of clothing I had ready to wash in the living room. They are not mine. Confused

I asked DP and he genuinely seems clueless. We work together + we spend 95% of our time together. I do work 2 evenings a week, but during this time DP is looking after our toddler & I'm back within 2 hours of DS going to bed.

We haven't had any female guests staying. DPs male friend stayed with us 4 weeks ago and it did cross my mind, but they'd be far too small (size 6) for him anyway.

Anyone want to help me play detective?Grin

I don't go to the gym, nor use a public pool.

Have you bought any job lots of clothes from EBay? Maybe it could have been mixed in?

NoSauce · 21/10/2019 10:47

How odd.

starfishcoffee · 21/10/2019 10:49

No eBay or bulk buys.

I have some trust issues so I'm spiralling a little. But I honestly can't think how / when DP could have found the time to cheat, and he has always seemed faithful.

Hanro is available here, it’s a relatively expensive brand.

AmIThough · 21/10/2019 10:49

Do you have his friends contact details? Send him a picture captioned "you left these behind!" And see what he says.

NoSauce · 21/10/2019 10:51

Why do you have trust issues?

Alsohuman · 21/10/2019 10:51

£30+ for a pair of knickers? Someone with more money than sense, clearly.

TatianaLarina · 21/10/2019 10:53

Someone with more money than sense, clearly.

Or a professional...

We had this with a hat and a Batman kids sock! Still no idea how either appeared!

starfishcoffee · 21/10/2019 10:55

@NoSauce

Not related to DP. More so childhood trauma rather than relationship based.

If he thought they were yours, or that he could pass them off to you as yours, he may have come across them somewhere dodgy like his car glove box or jacket pocket...

Slipped into a pile of laundry he probably home for lrorective colouration; the 'hiding in plain sight' strategy.

Consider that he may be cheating with a slightly skinnier woman.

TatianaLarina · 21/10/2019 10:57

If he moved in with suitcases maybe something left in there from a past gf. Got into his sock drawer, recently got washed with his socks.

starfishcoffee · 21/10/2019 10:59

I don't see when he could have had a woman here, and he hasn't spent a night away from home since we moved in together!

lovesdaisy · 21/10/2019 10:59

We had this with a vest top, my DP also wouldn’t have chance to cheat but I found it when folding the washing. Accused him of all sorts and later realised I’d pulled it out of a pocket in a suitcase he’d borrowed of his brother Blush

NoSauce · 21/10/2019 10:59

Oh ok OP, thanks for clarifying.

Try not to let this consume you and keep a clear head. I’m pretty certain they’ve been brought in somehow either by the friend or in with your washing off the line.

TatianaLarina · 21/10/2019 11:00

I think they’ve either come in with friend or DP when he moved in.

TatianaLarina · 21/10/2019 11:01

Which country does friend live in?

starfishcoffee · 21/10/2019 11:02

@TatianaLarina

I don't think so. I was staying with him at his mother's before we moved, we shared the chest of drawers + I am a sock thief so I'd have noticed. We packed his belongings together.

Oh dear Grin

@TatianaLarina

Sorry x posted. I was replying to your first post. It is quite possible that they could have come along with his friend.

@starfishcoffee please tell me his mums not a size six BlushGrin

Allgold33 · 21/10/2019 11:08

Do you have radiators? When we moved in and decorated I found quite a lot of socks/knickers that had fallen down the back. They could have been there from the previous owner and become dislodged and fallen out?

MashedSpud · 21/10/2019 11:09

It’s either:

Dp is cross dressing,
He kept the pants from a previous encounter,
He’s a knicker thief,
He cheated,
He bought used knickers online to wank over,
They got thrown/disposed of into your garden,
They were there from the previous tenant and put in the wash,
Dp bought you pants that were too small and didn’t want to upset you.
