It seems very out of character for Harry? Confused I wonder if he misinterpreted and thought she was asking about the lawsuit...

I assume he did get the wrong end of the stick about what she was asking, but how condescending can you get?!

Worlds0kayestmum · 03/10/2019 13:37

I can't work out what he says

Ijustwanttoretire · 03/10/2019 13:40

In the clip I saw I couldn't understand why he was unable to open the car door for himself? He got there and touched it but waited for the lackey to actually open it - bizarre behaviour!!

Mollymoo01 · 03/10/2019 13:43

The comments underneath the tweet are pretty terrible tbh!

It’s a tweet about how Harry has been rude so why the need to bring Meghan into it?

I don’t particularly care for either of them but it demeans the argument that Harry was bloody rude when you start very rudely dragging his marriage and wife into it.

If the purpose of the tweet was to show Harry how rude his behaviour was Harry reading shit about how ‘Meghan is working on his ptsd’ and such like is certainly not going to make him think ‘well hang on a minute this article and the comments below might have a point I was rude’ Instead he is just going to think they’re are all having a dig at Meghan again, they’re all arseholes, fuck them all, they’re the problem rather than my shitty, rude behaviour. It’s hardly conducive to making him reflect on how he is behaving.

Oh, sorry - I didn’t read the comments!

I cant hear what he says for him to be seen as rude. Hes passing press whilst getting into a car this must happen all the time he wont have time to stop all the time..

ChicCroissant · 03/10/2019 13:55

I think Harry needs an extended break from public life actually - I've always thought he was the main driver behind the constant privacy complaints.

Harry (and William) had a lot of goodwill and sympathy from the public, it is a shame that it is disappearing now but his ill-timed statement hasn't helped. With the pending court case it's hard to see how it is going to improve moving forward - it's actually getting quite sad now, they had a success with the tour and he's written it off completely before they've even got home.

If there is anyone that he will listen to, I hope they step in very soon. He can't be happy about it all himself either.

billy1966 · 03/10/2019 13:56

Very rude, even if he misunderstood.

Good lord, the inability/refusal to open the car door is far more insightful 🙄.

seaweedandmarchingbands · 03/10/2019 14:00

I think he spoke to her like he thought he was her dad. Not very royal at all. Increasingly, although I once liked him as much as I can like anyone so privileged and seemingly unaware of it, I think, “Who the fuck does he think he is, the King of England?” 😂

RasberryRoyale · 03/10/2019 14:01

He was rude. Also is his royal highness incapable of opening his own door? Apparently so.

onthebusoctopus · 03/10/2019 14:08

What does he say?

Rachelover60 · 03/10/2019 14:09

Can't tell what he says or does that is so controversial. Someone opened car door and he got in. That's all.

seaweedandmarchingbands · 03/10/2019 14:09

He said, “Rhiannon, don’t behave like this,” when she asked him a question.

Whitejasmine · 03/10/2019 14:10

I think she was was insinuating the visit was all about trying to improve his image and he became very flustered and annoyed. And yes, why did he seem incapable of opening the door himself? Is he a germaphobe? What a knob.

Derbee · 03/10/2019 14:11

Because a) he got the wrong end of the stick and b) he’s a petulant little shit. HTH

MonChatEstMagnifique · 03/10/2019 14:14

I'm always a bit cynical when you are only shown part of what happened. She could have been purposefully ambiguous with her first question which we don't see.

As for not opening the door himself, when he gets to the car, someone else has their hand on it the handle, maybe they're waiting for it to be unlocked. It looks like there was confusion and he just wanted to get in the car. People will see what they want to see when they want to make someone appear bad.

ShirleyPhallus · 03/10/2019 14:14

I didn’t think he couldn’t open the door, but that he was half listening to the furore around him for a micro second instead

Imagine how bloody hard your life would be always being picked apart and under the microscope for any little interaction. Yes, he has immense privilege in terms of money and power but fucking hell, I wouldn’t swap it. Having been in the public eye since being a child and every single interaction being monitored and utterly slagged off if people interpret it one way, that would get to every single person and anyone who says it wouldn’t is full of shit

fizzandchips · 03/10/2019 14:16

Re car door - it’s a security issue. The reason why one of his close protection officers opens it, is that they have quickly scanned the crowd and if needed to would push him back in and close the door again, if needed, or stand in front of him. It’s the same reason why Meghan was asked not to close the door after herself .

vinoandbrie · 03/10/2019 14:17

Very rude and patronising of him.

Dandelion1993 · 03/10/2019 14:17

The tit for tat relationship that ha sbuikt up between the press and the Suxxeses is ridiculous.

Both sides are at fault and need to grow up.

ScatteredMama82 · 03/10/2019 14:17

I imagine the car is locked until someone in security says 'open it' to stop anyone jumping in, so I think the car door thing is a red herring.

I don't quite understand why he was so off with the reporter though, but again it's out of context. You don't know what was said prior.

Funghi · 03/10/2019 14:18

Because he’s an absolute tosspot.

Starksforthewin · 03/10/2019 14:19

Because he’s an entitled idiot who can only engage with the little people when they are acting as a photogenic backdrop to his curated agenda.

anyoneseenmykeys · 03/10/2019 14:19

where did you get inability/ refusal to open the door?

I saw a woman who didn't manage to do it, he's speaking with someone else, goes to put his hand but the other guy is already on it, it's just a semi-second of hesitation.
Shows how much can be read in any random non-event!

If he had open the door, he would have been accused of no trusting women to do it, to push them out of the way and god knows what.

There has already been articles about Kate, Meghan and other opening or non-opening car doors. When there's nothing to say, must still find material don't we Confused

anyoneseenmykeys · 03/10/2019 14:21

Imagine how bloody hard your life would be always being picked apart and under the microscope for any little interaction.

I think the monarchy is way past its time, but I still agree with you. Entire articles have been written about Kate having a plaster on a finger! FFS you can make up anything and everything about nothing. The press and randoms on the internet do that constantly.
