It seems very out of character for Harry? Confused I wonder if he misinterpreted and thought she was asking about the lawsuit...

I think he was so rude but I don’t think he refused to open the car door? He went to get the handle but the other woman already had her hand in it so he pulled his back, then the other guy went for it before Harry got to it?

MonChatEstMagnifique · 03/10/2019 14:23

All of you giving possible valid reasons for Harry not opening the door such as security reasons are spoiling all the haters' fun on this thread. Wink

Excited101 · 03/10/2019 14:23

I think there’s a misunderstanding with the car door, it looks like he’s hesitating because someone is already doing it. If he had reached and grabbed it, it probably would have looked even ruder tbh.

Whitejasmine · 03/10/2019 14:23

I believe the conversation goes:

R: What are you hoping to achieve?
H: (miffed) Ask them...
R: Is that why it’s important for you to come and talk to them?
H: (pissed off now) Rhiannon, don’t behave like this!

I suppose some posters are correct in that it’s a small snippet of what may have come before but he really does himself no favours speaking to people in that manner. It did look very hot there though, I don’t do well in the heat myself...

anyoneseenmykeys · 03/10/2019 14:24

Hes a total cunt
Hmm

really, what has he ever done to you? He's not better or worst than the others, they should become private and give back the country's fortune to the state, but that sort of childish insult is so unnecessary.

MonChatEstMagnifique · 03/10/2019 14:24

Hes a total cunt

Do you know him then? No, thought not.

angell84 · 03/10/2019 14:24

Poor Harry.

Piers morgan really is powerful isn't he. He published this clip in retaliation to Meghan and Harry suing the media.

I am on Harry's side. Piers is a knob

AloeVeraLynn · 03/10/2019 14:26

I'm not a Sussex hater, I'm pretty indifferent really but I genuinely think he needs to take a step back now. They're falling over themselves being simultaneously defensive yet aggressive in their relationship with the press at the moment. An extended break from the public eye would do him some good I think, perhaps returning when Archie turns one or something. It all just needs to cool off.

morningcoffee22 · 03/10/2019 14:28

Harry ffs. lose the self importance.

Genevieva · 03/10/2019 14:29

Whatever happened, I do think it is unfortunate that this official visit has become overshadowed by interpersonal issues. It isn't fair on Malawi or the UK to have this sort of nonsense dominating the news, instead of an article on the place he visited. It must be really hard to hold your tongue when you live in the spotlight, but there are times when it is so important and I think this was one of them.

morningcoffee22 · 03/10/2019 14:30

The way he treats his polo ponies tells me everything I need to know about him.

ChardonnaysDistantCousin · 03/10/2019 14:30

And it was all going so well on this trip so far....

seaweedandmarchingbands · 03/10/2019 14:30

morningcoffee22

What does he do?

I don’t think he wasn’t happy to open the car door - he was just distracted by the reporter so someone else did it for him.

Are these the trolls from tumblr as someone else informed us yesterday who club together to hit MN amongst others daily?

Yeah, thanks for posting a totally impartial publication giving their view of the interaction Hmm

Passthecherrycoke · 03/10/2019 14:33

I don’t think he was rude really tbh. Maybe he should’ve ignored people shouting random questions at him, but it wasn’t rude

seaweedandmarchingbands · 03/10/2019 14:33

Piers Morgan is a giant knob but there is a lot of truth in what he is saying. The Sussexes (and the RF as a whole) rely on public support. That support cannot be taken for granted and, unfortunately, the decline in it they are experiencing seems to be a direct result of their various hypocrisies and odd refusals to share things with the public that would usually be expected. For my own sake, I don’t give a shiny shit whether we see their son or we don’t, but the people who love them care, and massively, and when they push away their support base they open themselves up.

angell84 · 03/10/2019 14:34

@elprup you know that Piers Morgan published that story - harry apparantly being rude to the media

  • in direct response to Harry and Meghan suing the media.

We are all pawns in Piers's game of thrones game.

That guy has way too much power

morningcoffee22 · 03/10/2019 14:34

Imagine how bloody hard your life would be always being picked apart and under the microscope for any little interaction
They can easily step down, and go fund themselves.

Ihopeyourcakeisshit · 03/10/2019 14:34

Unfortunately his initial "Ask them" response could make it look like he turns up, reads what's been written for him and buggers off.
The car thing is probably just a case of too many hands so someone had to let go.

elprup · 03/10/2019 14:34

Yeah, thanks for posting a totally impartial publication giving their view of the interaction

I only posted it for the video - as people were saying they couldn’t hear the Twitter one! Confused

I saw it as: she was trying to make out like his visit was pointless self-promotion, and his point back was that she should go and talk to the charity he was visiting - that's the reason they were there, to draw the eye of the press to whatever charity it was. If the press don't do that, and just ask sarky questions of the RF, then the charities miss out on their chance to get into the public eye.

Didn't MM get a bollocking from the press and the RF for opening her own door once?

elprup · 03/10/2019 14:36

@elprup you know that Piers Morgan published that story - harry apparantly being rude to the media

I didn’t know that - but it’s another journalist’s name on the article?
