I love how we're all different and I'd love to see how different our body types are.

I had a nasty shock this morning as I stepped on the scales and found out I weigh 74kg - the heaviest I've ever been!

I'm petite at 5'2" and I'd say I'm a curvy size 10. I have a big bum/legs from training and I strangely have a small waist but big hips and excess fat on my tummy.

I suffer from endometriosis so I do struggle to lose weight but I wondered how we all compare and if you have any healthy lifestyle tips.

I workout roughly 3-5 times per week and this is a combination of jogging, dance, weight session and cardio machines.

I am hoping to TTC next year and I an anxious of how much weight I may put on.

I'm 5ft 4, 10st 10, size 14 and potato shaped.

Oysterbabe · 24/06/2019 09:56

And I do have a healthy lifestyle, lots of walking and running and I'm actively dieting.

PolkadotLollipop · 24/06/2019 09:56

5’6.5”
10st
Size 12
Sort of apple shaped but not overly so, fairly in proportion.

I do an hour of flexibility & strength training twice a week plus yoga at home a few times a week and general walking for an hour or so a day.

Geekster1963 · 24/06/2019 09:58

I’m 4ft 11 and weigh 7st 4lbs. I’m very bottom heavy and have a big bum and chunky legs. I do run around 12 miles a week.

PolkadotLollipop · 24/06/2019 09:58

I’m amazed that you are a size 10 at 5’2 and 11+ stones! Body composition is a strange old thing.

Butterflyone1 · 24/06/2019 09:58

@oysterbabe FYI love your name if this is a play on Oyster Bay (my fav wine). That just shows how different our bodies are. You're 10kg lighter than me but my dress size is smaller. How does that even work?!

5'2, about 9 st 13 (63 kg). I am petite so that's quite overweight for me. I'm carry a lot of excess fat on my tummy and thighs (hello chub rub) and I'm just pretty untoned and unfit.

Ideally I'd like to be about 8 and a half stone. I bet my face would age a lot though, if I lost that much weight! But I really need to be fitter more than anything.

ChihuahuaMummy1 · 24/06/2019 09:59

5ft 10 vary between a 10 and a 12,34d boobs

CassianAndor · 24/06/2019 09:59

Oh, and a size 12 - no way could I fit into size 10 clothing!

CassianAndor · 24/06/2019 10:00

and massive bosoms (sorry for multiple posts)

Oysterbabe · 24/06/2019 10:01

You're 10kg lighter than me but my dress size is smaller. How does that even work?!

I have skinny legs, no arse and a big tummy. Potato shaped.

Butterflyone1 · 24/06/2019 10:01

@PolkadotLollipop I know right!! It has baffled me reading how much heavier I am than others.

I wonder if it's the whole muscle thing has muscle mass is smaller size than fat mass (if that makes sense!). My legs are very strong and my butt if big but pert so it might be I'm heavy but smaller size.

I will sometimes buy a size 12 top/dress as my boobs are 32FF but generally my waist is a size 10. Sometimes tight jeans/skirts don't fit over my big butt though lol

I think waist size in actual inches is the most important measure for health. Midsection fat is the worst for your health.

BigFatGoalie · 24/06/2019 10:02

5ft 6.
I weigh 49kg or 7.8stone.
I’m just getting to my “happy” weight, although since DCs I need to get toned again!

BigFatGoalie · 24/06/2019 10:02

So a size 6-8

NoBaggyPants · 24/06/2019 10:02

74kg is eleven and a half stone, and for your height is in the obese category. In the kindest way, are you sure you're a size 10?

I'm nine and a half stone, size 12, and used to be much (much) bigger. I stayed big for years because I convinced myself I was a smaller size than I was, there are always off stores that have generous sizing.

eurochick · 24/06/2019 10:03

How does endo make it hard for you to lose weight?

acquiescence · 24/06/2019 10:03

Wow I’m amazed that you can fit a size 10 at that weight, you must have really toned muscles in guessing.
I’m 5’2 and just over 9st (around 59kg?) and a curvy size 10 hourglass shape. I work out/run about 3 times a week but could definitely tone up more and lose a bit of weight. I would suit a size 8 more.

ComtesseDeSpair · 24/06/2019 10:03

5’6”, 8st 5lbs, size 8. I’m solid bone and muscle, body type probably best described as athletic.

I lift weights and I’m a long distance runner and I think both are the best form of exercise you can do for long term health, fitness and weight loss / maintenance.

I also changed my diet a few years ago and basically avoid processed food, sugar and refined carbs - so no bread, pasta, cereals etc. I think it’s easy to eat hundreds of calories in stodge without really noticing it and much less easy to do so when you just eat protein, fat, vegetables etc. I no longer crave or miss carbs.

acquiescence · 24/06/2019 10:04

Are you in the UK?

Girasole02 · 24/06/2019 10:04

9st 2 and 5ft 4. Have sizes 8-12 in my wardrobe depending on where I bought the item.

dontdoubtyourself · 24/06/2019 10:06

Without photos we have no idea if people are just stretching out their clothes and need bigger or wearing bigger looser sizes.

NiceLegsShameAboutTheFace · 24/06/2019 10:07

I'm 5'7" and weigh around 9st 4lb as of this morning. My (bodybuilding) competition weight is around 8st 10lbs: I'm aiming to to get there in couple of weeks.

My body shape is what you might call androgynous — no hips and bum — and muscular. I like it Blush

dontdoubtyourself · 24/06/2019 10:07

Not that I expect anyone to share photos

b0bb1n · 24/06/2019 10:08

I'm 5ft 3.5 and right now I weigh about 49kg. I gave birth almost 12 weeks ago and so I'm in need of toning up but I don't want to lose any more weight as I was way too skinny before my pregnancy.
