I love how we're all different and I'd love to see how different our body types are.

I had a nasty shock this morning as I stepped on the scales and found out I weigh 74kg - the heaviest I've ever been!

I'm petite at 5'2" and I'd say I'm a curvy size 10. I have a big bum/legs from training and I strangely have a small waist but big hips and excess fat on my tummy.

I suffer from endometriosis so I do struggle to lose weight but I wondered how we all compare and if you have any healthy lifestyle tips.

I workout roughly 3-5 times per week and this is a combination of jogging, dance, weight session and cardio machines.

I am hoping to TTC next year and I an anxious of how much weight I may put on.

Junowhat, I think some of those Boden reviews with the weird sizes are because they recycle the US Boden site reviews on the UK site.

Trooperslaneagain · 25/06/2019 12:28

50kg or 7.13.

I lost 3 stone in a matter of months due to illness and mega stress.

Another one desperately trying to eat and put weight on for once.

I'm 46 and I'm lighter than I was 25 years ago - lots of people complimented me at my skinniest when I thought I looked terrible....

I did - waaaayyy too thin. I was haggard and all my hair was falling out - currently sporting a short crop rather than my previous up to waist length, bouncy curls.

I'm 5.3, petite and currently an 8-10 on top and an 8 on bottom. My arms and legs look too skinny and I'm mainlining butter and full fat cheese.

Sproink · 25/06/2019 12:33

@ReturnofSaturn

No, no children which probably gives me an unfair advantage on MN with respect to time and tummy.

I do watch my diet because too much dairy and bready stuff disagrees with me. I cook 95% of what I eat myself and it tends to be veg and protein rich. I also spend about four or five hours at the gym every week and sometimes run as well.

TheRedSquare · 25/06/2019 12:57

I'm 5'3
13st 11lb (gasp)

Have no idea what you call my shape...big boobs, no neck, slightly smaller waist and then flub, go in slightly on my hip and then back out to thighs (sort of apple-ish)

Just had a baby, so some is baby weight I gained and some is just pure gluttony...also have an under active thyroid which is a known weight gain factor as your metabolism decides it will go at snail pace...should be better once my meds are back on track as having a baby really messed with my levels!!

Oh and I'm a size 16/18 depending where I shop and if it has some stretch!!

Use to be 8st 4lb and a size 8...

Currently doing slimming world to shift some blubber!!

Lilac3 · 25/06/2019 13:04

I'm 5ft 3 and currently 9 stone 2 pounds. I wear both 8s and 10s. I'm heavier on top and have slim legs.

My ideal weight is 9 stone. I'm carrying the extra 2 pounds on my tummy and it is very noticeable to me.

You look great OP, cracking figure. But in the kindest way possible, you do look bigger/curvier than a 10. Confused
But I believe you!

Runningonempty84 · 25/06/2019 13:14

OP - you look fab, but not a 10. Where do you buy 10s from?! Confused

Jellylegsni · 25/06/2019 13:26

5'3 and weigh 7 stone. Aiming to get to 7 and a half. I was close to 6 stone at my lowest so I have been putting on weight but it's been a couple of years of slow progress.

My body shape is something between an hourglass and a pear I think, though it's less noticeable at this weight. And clothes size I'm a 6 but wear a lot of 8s mainly because they're easier to find in stock.

Pgjp129 · 25/06/2019 13:33

I'm 15st 3, 5'7. I have a big hip/bum area and 36H boobs. Clothes can vary size wise, I go between a 16 and 20, even in the same shop... primark and H&M I'm looking at you.

I'd like to be 2 stone lighter, but I have no willpower and like cake too much.

annabelle1992 · 25/06/2019 14:42

@Butterflyone1 how are you a size 10 if you weight 74kgs? That's about 11 and a half stone no? Are you super muscular / weight lifter type?

annabelle1992 · 25/06/2019 14:43

@Butterflyone1 if you are going to TTC next year it's probably a good idea to lose some first- I'm only 14 weeks in and gained 4lbs already and really wish I had just lost half a stone first so I had a bit of a buffer. I feel huge and nothing fits :(

annabelle1992 · 25/06/2019 14:44

@TheRedSquare is slimming world good? Thinking of doing that one post-baby

Butterflyone1 · 25/06/2019 14:50

@Runningonempty84 all your standard high street shops. H&M, Next, Primark. I definitely wear a size 10 clothing.

@PutYourBackIntoit I don't think you need to gain any weight. 11st is a lot for your height. If you tone up you will probably get slimmer but remain the same weight as muscle weighs more than fat

annabelle1992 · 25/06/2019 14:53

H&M, Next and Primark sizes come up absolutely huge, to the point where I sometimes don't even fit a 6 in there and I am definitely and 8 not a 6!

annabelle1992 · 25/06/2019 14:59

@Sproink your body is 👍👍👍👍

8st7lbs used to be my fighting weight, went up to 8st12lbs whilst TTC and now I'm pregnant it's all gone out the window (currently 9st2lbs)

Inspo for post pregnancy!

PolkadotLollipop · 25/06/2019 15:01

@annabelle1992, whilst I agree that @PutYlurBackIntoIt probably doesn’t need to gain weight. I will disagree with you that 11 stones is ‘a lot’ for her height of 5’7”. In fact, it places her within normal, healthy BMI range for her height. Whilst BMI is not the be all and end all (hip to waist ratio is also helpful), it is a useful guide for most people.

@annabelle1992, if you are an 8 at 14 weeks pregnant, you aren’t ‘huge’. Congratulations on your pregnancy.

PolkadotLollipop · 25/06/2019 15:02

Or even @PutYourBackIntoit Hmm

annabelle1992 · 25/06/2019 15:06

@PolkadotLollipop I suppose technically not huge but I feel huge. 9st2lbs is the heaviest I have ever been in my whole life so I have had to actually buy new clothes 😂 just feel so heavy! And it's only going to get worse!

annabelle1992 · 25/06/2019 15:07

Yeah agree BMI is not a great indicator. Yep maybe hip to waist ratio, or body fat percentage.

GrouchyKiwi · 25/06/2019 15:58

I'm 174cm and 75kg (or 5'8" and 11lb 5oz or something). I wear size 10/12 (or anywhere from an 8-14 in H&M). I think my shape is somewhere between hourglass and column.

I've put on 5kg recently (since walking our giant dog every day) but don't know where it has gone. I'm not bigger anywhere, but nor do I have any appreciable muscle gain. 'Tis most confusing.

ReturnofSaturn · 25/06/2019 16:14

Sproink
Thanks for the reply. Yes I did look like that pre-child, maybe I just have to accept my body will never be like that again and i just don't have the time and energy now for that effort SadGrin

PutYourBackIntoit · 25/06/2019 17:52

Sorry, I didn't explain well. I want to tone up. I'm flabbyish. But light compared to some on here who wear smaller dress sizes, because I suspect of my lack of muscle. What I meant by me needing to gain weight was that I need to turn my fat to muscle. I'll probably end up weighing more, although may reduce my inches (or at least that would be a bonus!)

NerrSnerr · 25/06/2019 17:52

I'm 5ft 1, about 10st 9 and a large size 12. I'm an apple shape (I think- small everywhere but huge belly).

I'm slowly losing it though as I'm happiest at about 9 stone and a size 8-10
