Me,parents and ds 5 went out for an early dinner,we were asked for our order then told that all salads and hummus were off.
Dm is vegetarian and was really looking forward to one of the salads but she sucked it up and ordered a cheese sandwich, all good..so far.Server then came back and told me I couldn't have lettuce on my sandwich because of the salad situation,ok then.
Finally my sandwich came,I had ordered Turkey stuffing bacon and mayo.It came with no stuffing,no mayo but with bbq sauce which I dont like so I sent it back resulting in me eating alone as everyone else had finished.
The server came over and said they weren't going to charge me for my meal I replied well good because I didn't feel like paying for it,we've been messed about and you didn't get my order right! Am I an entitled bitch or is my reaction reasonable seeing as there was a lot off menu and then they got it wrong?

Let me just put this here for you.
As supervisor in a Wait for it.....Toby carvery, I not only manage shifts but wait on too.
I absolutely despise of anyone that is vile to servers.
Believe it or not, servers and managers are more likely to give you more/ treat you better if you treat the team with equal respect.
It is the kitchen manager that orders the food. There are circumstances whereby, despite the food being ordered it doesnt always turn up And simply, we aren't allowed to pop to the local Tesco to replace said items due to traceability.
So no, it isn't the waitresses fault, equally it isnt the duty managers fault either. BUT, if you're gonna be an absolute arse to a waitress who is paid minimum wage - PLEASE do not expect the waitress/manager to go out of their way for you. Kindness goes a lot further....believe me.

they obviously aren't getting enough, sex, money, recognition or respect in their own lives.

I suspect it's op not getting any if she feels the need to belittle other people like she does.
