After the deletion of various threads on here (you know what I'm talking about) Grin

Just wondered what is the most bonkers mumsnet thread you've ever witnessed or came across?

OP posts:
UriGellerbentmyspoon · 27/04/2019 14:17

I think it's that one tbh!😂😂😂

BiscuitDrama · 27/04/2019 14:18

Oh what did I miss?!

UriGellerbentmyspoon · 27/04/2019 14:18

Or the one where she replied to herself after the mid-thread name change in said thread. 😂

MrsSiriusBlack1 · 27/04/2019 14:18

What’s been happening?!

Youngandfree · 27/04/2019 14:19

Yeah the answering herself under another username is the best by far😂😂🙄

agonyauntie · 27/04/2019 14:19

Haha I was watching quietly from the sidelines. Was hysterical. Certainly brightened up my Saturday 😂

OP posts:
WheelyCote · 27/04/2019 14:20

What have i missed!!!!

englishdictionary · 27/04/2019 14:22

Damn I missed another bit of excitement Grin

It's not so much the bonkers posts but the bonkers deletions that get me Wink

UriGellerbentmyspoon · 27/04/2019 14:22

@biscuitDrama a goady op saying her neighbours were noisy on their stairs, she banged on the walls at them and was ready to go round there to sort them out. She name changed half way through the thread but carried on as the OP, just under a different name. Then told us all she had a masters! 😂

On another one, she acted just as bizarre but started agreeing with herself under her 'new' name.

EL2019 · 27/04/2019 14:22

I’ve obviously missed something but yo answer your question: screaming at Michelangelo paintings springs to mind.

agonyauntie · 27/04/2019 14:23

@EL2019 😂😂 I remember that one

OP posts:
PlasmaRain · 27/04/2019 14:23

And then going on to answer herself in another thread too. That’s some bonkers batshittery for sure. Grin
One of the best ‘fuck ups’ I saw was the journalist, username Debbie I think, who copied and pasted her editor’s brief for a goady get them frothing thread idea into her opening post.

EmeraldShamrock · 27/04/2019 14:25

I must have missed it. Maui is top for me the OP was unintentionally hilarious.

HollowTalk · 27/04/2019 14:26

Does anyone remember the one where the OP said something about a party (I think) and balloons and the next post was someone screaming about how she was killing the world because she'd got a helium balloon?

CassandraCross · 27/04/2019 14:27

The most bonkers I have seen were the threads about Louis Tomlinson, his baby and Harry Styles, that whole shebang was a real low for MN.

checkingforballoons · 27/04/2019 14:27

Not the most bonkers but I’ll always remember the post that asked if two oranges after dinner was too much sugar Grin

churchthecat · 27/04/2019 14:28

Loved the Sistine Screamer.

Spudlet · 27/04/2019 14:29

Definitely the screaming at the Sistine Chapel. That was amazing Grin

MrsSpenserGregson · 27/04/2019 14:30

Yes, the Sistine screamer.

The woman who was getting married in Maui - I think she posted more than one thread, wasn't there a hilarious one about the potential hen do as well?

Brian the yoni masseur was really funny too.

Oh, and Balonz Grin

MrsSpenserGregson · 27/04/2019 14:31

And the Mexican house thief for sheer CF-ery, that was draw-dropping

MrsSpenserGregson · 27/04/2019 14:31

*jaw-dropping, sorry!

Minai · 27/04/2019 14:31

Probably the fly seat one. I had to re-read it about 5 times and still didn’t get it

EmeraldShamrock · 27/04/2019 14:32

CassandraCross I missed that one.
Threads for a real low blow only recently the little boy had his neck nipped by a barber, it floored me, many posted horrible comments aimed at the child.

JaneDoe8000 · 27/04/2019 14:32

There was one recently about a woman who just couldn't get her head around the fact that it looked highly likely her friend no wanted to look after her child. She just wouldn't have it, because the other person offered ages ago and how busy could she really be as she's only a student? That sort if thing.

It might still be on going.

On the whole, the majority of threads and replies on here are from people who I genuinely believe have mental health issues. They have no grasp about how to deal with routine situations. Replies are often the polar opposite of each other, so the advice is effectively worthless.

EmeraldShamrock · 27/04/2019 14:33

wasn't there a hilarious one about the potential hen do as well?
Yes the OP entertained a few times, If she was a troll, it was poker face.
