My best was definitely Canada. Driving through the Rockies was an unforgettable experience and we got perfect weather and lots of lovely food and hotel stops along the way.

The worst has to be Dublin. I was really underwhelmed by it and found it crazy expensive.

I think cornwall was the worst but i think if the car hadn't broke down and the weather was good it would have been much nicer lol

I liked going to florida it was hot yes but we had a lot of fun together on the other hand yosemite park was truly beautiful

isseywithcats · 26/01/2019 15:07

Best ever Barbados amazing
Worst Cornwall pretty but boring

Alfiesmom74 · 26/01/2019 15:09

Kavos in Corfu......beautiful island but vile resort. Couldn’t get a minutes peace on the beach or walking round shops on a night.

winterinmadeira · 26/01/2019 15:10

Best ever is a tie between Japan and Madeira (too different to choose between
Worst is Tenerife. Made even worse by the friend I went with

Madbengalmum · 26/01/2019 15:11

Best there are many, i love italy, the smaller greek islands and croatia.

Worst, Has to be Bulgaria, what a hole it is! Feel a bit meh about most of my American trips, but really don't care for new york or LA.

littlepeas · 26/01/2019 15:12

Best - can’t choose one - Sri Lanka, South Africa, New Zealand or Canada. Worst - Tenerife.

WeeBean · 26/01/2019 15:13

Best - Slovenia, Ljubljana was fantastic and Lake Bled was stunning. Really friendly people too. Special mention for my favourite place in the world - Portstewart on the north coast of NI where we have always spent happy summer holidays.

Worst - Basel, Switzerland, miserable place with not much to see or do and it was mega expensive. Zurich and Lucerne were brilliant though!

Frosty66611 · 26/01/2019 15:14

@weebean we want to go to Lake Bled next year. Looks gorgeous!

Best: Florida as a child, Malta as an adult.

Worst: Eurocamp in France.

BeanTownNancy · 26/01/2019 15:15

I've been to many places, but nothing beats the pure childish joy of being at Disney World and enjoying that gorgeous Florida weather. ❤️
I'm not sure I've ever had a terrible holiday but my in-laws all went to the same place in the UK on holiday every year and I went with them a couple of times and found it pretty dull. Just don't get the appeal, especially as they went in the Autumn and it was not good weather at all.

ShanghaiDiva · 26/01/2019 15:16

I think the best have been the self-drive holidays - Canada, Australia, NZ and US as I like to have a wander around local supermarkets, food markets, wineries etc and have the freedom to check out interesting sights along the way.
worst - Oslo - dull and very expensive, resort in Turkey with 'entertainment' every day by the pool, Yogyakarta (the actual city, not the surrounding temples and volcano) is a complete dump. It was so bad it became the unintended 'highlight' of the holiday and we still talk about it now!

Hoppinggreen · 26/01/2019 15:17

Best - Barbados
Worst - Tunisia

tumpymummy · 26/01/2019 15:18

Lots of best: Vietnam, touring Grand Canyon, Zion, Monument Valley in the US, Rome & Pompeii. Worst: camping in the UK in the rain!

AGHHHH · 26/01/2019 15:19

Paris, but that was probably the timing, weather, protests etc. It was a crap experience.

And Berlin. Not sure if it was the constant rain and miserable weather again but I didn't feel any excitement about it.

Best, Amsterdam. Followed by Warsaw and Copenhagen.

AGHHHH · 26/01/2019 15:20

Worst Paris and Berlin *

bridgetreilly · 26/01/2019 15:21

Best: Iceland
Worst: Malta

Atalune · 26/01/2019 15:21

So many amazing holidays.

California road trip with the kids
Tuscany when ds was a toddler
St ives in October
Costa brava
Paris
Japan

Worst
Found Dublin quite ropey in parts and expensive for what was on offer
Turkey- crappy resort in my late teens and was harassed a lot by random locals. Quite intimidating.

Madbengalmum · 26/01/2019 15:21

Lots of peoples best are some of my most tedious, Grand Canyon for example, interesting for about five minutes to me. The Caribbean, all of the islands are pretty similar. Though St Barts is pretty nice to be fair. Just goes to show how different we all are.

zonkin · 26/01/2019 15:21

Best - Peru and Bolivia
Worst by a long way - Tunisia

DrMadelineMaxwell · 26/01/2019 15:23

Why worst for Malta, bridgetreilly ?

LizzieSiddal · 26/01/2019 15:25

Best - australia foe the beaches, the weather and the kangaroos!
Also St Ives in Cornwall but always out of season as it’s far too overcrowded in the school holidays.

Worst- New York, I hated it.

blue25 · 26/01/2019 15:25

Worst-Dublin and Tunisia
Best-The Seychelles

Boyskeepswinging · 26/01/2019 15:26

I found Dublin disappointingly underwhelming, too. Really couldn't see what all the fuss was about and, yes, shockingly expensive.
Best? Probably WDW in Florida. It really was magical, a complete diversion from real life, which is surely what the best holidays should be.

beanaseireann · 26/01/2019 15:26

Best US Florida and New York.

Worst Portugal. Awful accommodation and for the first time in years and years Faro airport was shut because of fog and we had to take a bus to Lisbon airport and dc1 who suffered with car sickness vomited for most of the journey.

Boyskeepswinging · 26/01/2019 15:27

Wow, Dublin really is taking a hammering!
