To think it's not fair transwomen get hair removal on the NHS but women with PCOS don't?! **Title edited by MNHQ**

This is quite frankly bullshit.

Excellent post @nailak. You’ve highlighted exactly what many women spend a substantial amount of time, money and pain on and is a relatively normal issue that normal women deal with lifelong in some cases.

Hair removal of any sort for any reason or any cause shouldn’t be offered on the NHS in its current state.

I will add the disclaimer if my yeti status again... my hairiness is distressing, limiting and excessive, but it’s not insurmountable through a choice of easily accessed resources. Incidentally I also have wide spread psoriasis (painting a lovely picture here aren’t I? My eyes are beautiful! Grin) which causes similar problems and more. If I could find an over the counter treatment I would use it but as it is I can’t so need clinical knowledge and prescription medication to try and tackle it.
