I've been told that is utterly ridiculous to spend that amount of money for that but I still love the jumper!

Yes of course it is. You know that, I know that, everyone knows it.

frazzledasarock · 19/12/2018 00:11

Is it an actual Christmas jumper?

Your money to do as you wish I suppose, but if it isa Christmas jumper it has very limited wearability for such a price tag.

grumpy4squash · 19/12/2018 00:12

Do you mean you're spending 118 on a jumper for a Christmas present for someone? Or 118 on a Christmas jumper?

The first is OK if you can afford it, the second not so much (but also OK if you can afford it and want to spend your money on it)

MrsRhettButler · 19/12/2018 00:13

I think we need to see the jumper or we can't possibly help.

I just want to see what a hundred pound Xmas jumper looks like

Crazyaboutdots · 19/12/2018 00:17

Reccy2018 thank you for your clarity...It felt expensive but don't get it why "ridiculous money" (as my friend said)
The quality is beautiful :)

Boast.

DustyMaiden · 19/12/2018 00:18

Your money, do with it as you please.

steff13 · 19/12/2018 00:20

I don't think it's a crazy amount of money for a good quality sweater. However, if it's actually a Christmas sweater, that the receiver could wear a couple of weeks a year at a stretch, then I think it's way out of line. And I want to see it. 😊

MrsRhettButler · 19/12/2018 00:21

It's only ridiculous if you can't afford it. I expect Beyonce's Christmas jumper is worth even more. (just for example)

Everyone's different.

AjasLipstick · 19/12/2018 00:26

Can we see it?

MrsTerryPratcett · 19/12/2018 00:28

If it's an actual Christmas jumper it's a silly choice.

WhenISnappedAndFarted · 19/12/2018 00:28

If it is just a Christmas jumper then yes, that's an awful lot.

If it's just a jumper that you can wear at Christmas but also at other points when it's cold then that's not so bad but still a lot.

AornisHades · 19/12/2018 00:29

If it's for me then please don't. Mwah.

DayManChampionOfTheSun · 19/12/2018 00:31

Please can we see it!

CountFosco · 19/12/2018 00:33

We need to see the jumper. If it's a woollen fair isle then it's a bargain, if it's a synthetic job with Santa/snowman/rudolph on the front you're insane.

PinkAvocado · 19/12/2018 00:33

For a Christmas jumper? Yes that’s a lot of money for a couple of week’s wear a year.

I bet it’s dry clean only too which makes it more ridiculous Grin

TyneTeas · 19/12/2018 00:34

Not quite sure what you are looking for...

permission, validation, judgement, guilt?

WendyWoofer · 19/12/2018 00:35

What does a £118 Christmas jumper look like? Pic needed please

redandyellowandpinkandgreen99 · 19/12/2018 00:36

Stealth boast.

Lame.

redandyellowandpinkandgreen99 · 19/12/2018 00:38

Just googled £118 Christmas jumper.

Nothing came up anywhere NEAR that price.

Quelle surprise.

Crazyaboutdots · 19/12/2018 00:51

Yes, looking for judgment. Yes feeling a bit guilty.
No intention of boasting.

Can't take a pic because is already wrapped it.
Yes, it can be used when is not Christmas time but maybe too much colour if you like classics.
Festive Striped Jumper- Anthropologie
Thanks for the answers anyway!

If it's the same jumper as Snapped just linked to, then you're definitely being unreasonable.

Why anyone would pay £118 to look like a Fruit Pastille ice lolly is beyond me.

user1473878824 · 19/12/2018 00:55

OP, if it’s that jumper then no. Take it back. It’s horrible. If you mean an actual Christmas themed jumper them no because it’s a hideous waste of money, they’re cheap fun things. I saw a beautiful £45 one but it’s going to get worn a few times once a year. If you just mean a Christmas gift them maybe, but I would assume for that price it’s hand wash only blah blah and then actually it’s just a bit of ball ache.

If it’s a beautiful jumper for YOU that YOU love that will be worn forever then yes, buy it if it doesn’t stretch your budget.

But as you’ve already wrapped it I’m not sure of the point of this thread.

Crazyaboutdots · 19/12/2018 00:58

Well I think I might exchange it for the Sequin Confetti Jumper then!! Oh dear, I knew it was a mistake...
