I've been told that is utterly ridiculous to spend that amount of money for that but I still love the jumper!

This one OP?

www.anthropologie.com/en-gb/shop/festive-striped-jumper

I personally don’t like it, and to me it’s not very festive either.

HerRoyalNotness · 19/12/2018 00:59

Depends who it’s for. That jumper is alpaca/nylon and dry clean only. They may not thank you for that

PinkAvocado · 19/12/2018 01:00

The Anthropologie festive striped jumper doesn’t look Christmassy or festive so at least more than two week’s wear.

If that’s what you usually spend on each other then why the guilt?

TestingTestingWonTooFree · 19/12/2018 01:01

I like the Sequin Confetti Jumper an awful lot more. but not £118

I like it, but I wouldn’t pay that much for it

I think I prefer the Sequin one too now!

Is this one of those adhering threads where you’re just trying to increase search hits?

If not, why are you feeling guilty? Surely the style is irrelevant if it’s about the money?

RustyBear · 19/12/2018 01:06

I like several of the jumpers on that site, but what is this thing about tucking it in just at the front? It looks like you’ve been a bit careless after having a pee.

PinkAvocado · 19/12/2018 01:06

Adhering? That should say marketing.

I’ll add that the sequin one is machine washable so better immediately.

Bumbumtaloo · 19/12/2018 01:07

Out of the two I prefer the sequin one.

ThePoliticiansPraiseMyName · 19/12/2018 01:07

I like the striped one and it doesn't seem massively festive. It doesn't matter what I think though. Can you afford it and will the person it is purchased for like it?

Whyarealltheusernamestaken · 19/12/2018 01:08

Why buy someone a Christmas jumper, regardless how expensive as a Christmas present. They then can’t wear it for nearly a year....

Whyarealltheusernamestaken · 19/12/2018 01:09

It’s a rubbish present, if you have so much money buy her a pony 🤣

KC225 · 19/12/2018 01:12

I do t think its Christmas jumper. If I met you in March wearing that jumper I wouldn't think you were out of season. Enjoy OP

NaughtToThreeSadOnions · 19/12/2018 01:16

Neither are what i'd call christmas jumpers

I actally perfer the stripped one - i wpuld wear the stripped one for work im not sure when i'd wear the squined one.

Its just a jumper, its not unreasonable to spend that much on a jumper if you have the money.

Not sure why you got the first reply.

slashlover · 19/12/2018 01:17

Will the sequins not come off in the wash? There's also only one size left of it.

BoswellandForshort · 19/12/2018 01:17

That’s not a Christmas jumper Confused

Aridane · 19/12/2018 01:18

I like that jumper - though what’s it made of (web link doesn’t seem to say - though probably staring me straight in the face)

AcrossthePond55 · 19/12/2018 01:20

They're both a little, I don't know, esoteric? I think you'd have to know the recipient really well to know if they'd like either of them.

Between the two I like the sequin one better. But the sequins stopping at the shoulder ruin it for me. It drives me crazy when a trim or print doesn't go all the way round the garment and the back is just plain!!

AlbertWinestein · 19/12/2018 01:21

I can’t stand Anthropologie. It’s the whole “kind of hippy look where everything costs over $100 so people still know you are rich” vibe that does it.

jessstan2 · 19/12/2018 01:22

Did you have to tell anyone how much it cost?

SleepingStandingUp · 19/12/2018 01:24

Well can you afford it? And will they appreciate it? That should be the important things.

Personally I'd be scared to leave the house in it - - because it's hideous-- in case I damaged it

The4thSandersonSister · 19/12/2018 01:25

I like it because I could wear it casually or dress it up. It says fun without screaming " Mad Christmas Jumper". The price is immaterial because each poster will compare and contrast to their own financial position accordingly. I'd be very pleased to receive it.

ImogenTubbs · 19/12/2018 01:30

Be careful though - I spent £95 on a cashmere jumper for DH last Christmas. Accidentally got put on a hot wash after the first wear and shrank! Confused (and yes, it was accidental, before anyone makes that joke!)
