there is a power cut while im having something done and im halfway through it e.g like a hair colour.

im asking because Storm Diana is imminent and i have an appointment booked this week.

Back in Jan there was a power cut the day after a storm on the day of my appointment but at that time they hadnt started my treatment yet.

power cuts round here seem to be getting pretty common now

i dont really want to be sent home to wash the dye out myself if this happens because i have long hair and would end up with dye all over my clothes and coat.

has anyone experienced anything like this?

You’ve got too much time on your hands, my love.

WorraLiberty · 26/11/2018 14:06

Why don't you ask the hairdressers what they would do in that instance?

Mine has an emergency generator that would probably kick in.

ImTakingTheEssence · 26/11/2018 14:06

I wish i had your problems Grin

HollowTalk · 26/11/2018 14:07

Honestly, you're bonkers!

HollowTalk · 26/11/2018 14:08

@WorraLiberty, I'm laughing so much at your hairdresser's emergency generator.

Nicknacky · 26/11/2018 14:08

The chances of that happening are small! Don’t worry about it.

BarryTheKestrel · 26/11/2018 14:08

Power cuts don't stop water from working OP. If they don't have a generator they will at least be able to wash your dye out - even if it's with cold water if their hot is electrically heated. However drying and styling your hair would be an issue without power, but power cuts don't usually last a long time.

WitchesHatRim · 26/11/2018 14:08

Speak to the hairderessers.

Bestseller · 26/11/2018 14:10

Grin Catastrophic storm and a hair do it the only concern. Gotta love the British and their weather.

JennyHolzersGhost · 26/11/2018 14:10

Doesn’t everyone’s hairdresser have an emergency power generator ?!

tiggerkid · 26/11/2018 14:12

Where do you stand legally? Do you mean you would actually and seriously consider taking legal action if you had wash the dye out of your hair yourself? And what does a power cut have to do with the supply of water at your hair salon?

AaahhwoooooOOOOooOOOOo1 · 26/11/2018 14:14

Like I said on a previous thread.

I sometimes think there is a competition going on as to who can make up the most bizarre thread and get some serious replies.

OP...why would a power cut mean a salon loses water??

WorraLiberty · 26/11/2018 14:16

@WorraLiberty, I'm laughing so much at your hairdresser's emergency generator.

To be fair, it's the entire building. Not something she personally brought from home Grin

Hedgehoginthefog · 26/11/2018 14:16

But if there was a power cut why would you be able to wash it out better yourself at home? Assuming gas was still on you'd probably be okay. Otherwise you'd just have to suck it up have it rinsed out with cold water, I imagine with the hairdresser apologising constantly as it would be so uncomfortable. Grin

Why would it be a legal question? Bizarre.

AGHHHH · 26/11/2018 14:19

Why the hell are you even thinking about this, even if as a joke which it doesn't sound like it is?

WorraLiberty · 26/11/2018 14:20

Perhaps the weather has coloured her view?

OwlsAndBears · 26/11/2018 14:21

I'm weeping at this thread!

MiaowMix · 26/11/2018 14:22

Say what op? Such a random and unlikely question. Are you serious?
Also, why the triple spaces between words? Why type like that?

Drogosnextwife · 26/11/2018 14:22

Where do you stand legally 😂. What are you going to take them to court if they have a power cut, OP do get a grip.

Whyohwhy65 · 26/11/2018 14:23
Hmm
Lightsong · 26/11/2018 14:23

You could always just go outside and allow the storm to rinse the dye out?

WorraLiberty · 26/11/2018 14:23

MiaowMix no need to get 'snippy' with the OP Grin

13thWarriorWitch · 26/11/2018 14:24

Why don't you just reschedule your appointment?
