The whole active thread list is always taken up by tons of trans bashing threads. How is it acceptable? Anything relating to anyone transgender is bashed. If this was against another minority of people, race, sexuality, religion it would be taken down and reported as hate crime. I don’t understand how the feminism board makes it acceptable?

Just hide them 🤷🏼‍♀️

JiltedJohnsJulie · 15/11/2018 18:57

Ive just been helping out a MNer who has a baby with colic. Not sure how that’s a hate crime. Can you explain please?

WineGummyBear · 15/11/2018 18:57

If you see transphobic posts report them.

There are strict guidelines and the moderators remove transphobic posts.

ILoveAutum · 15/11/2018 18:57

What utter rubbish. Stop stirring.

treaclesoda · 15/11/2018 18:58

You really don't like women standing up for themselves do you?

But you can always hide them if they bother you so much.

WineGummyBear · 15/11/2018 18:58

And also what jilted said as well

Carpetglasssofa · 15/11/2018 18:58

Taat.

You need to make your point in the relevant threads, or report them to mnhq.

Whyisthisacceptable · 15/11/2018 18:59

I didn’t know I could hide them, on it now. Sick of seeing it.
@jiltedjohnsjulie I did specify it in my post I’m not talking about the whole of mumsnet and certainly not colicky babies Confused

@treaclesoda explain to me then why I should be on board with it? How is it standing up for yourself to put others down?

Racecardriver · 15/11/2018 19:00

Hate crime 🙄

UCWorries · 15/11/2018 19:00

No. Its not.

It's full of women standing up for themselves and their basic rights.

CrabbyPatty · 15/11/2018 19:01

For what its worth I agree with you OP. I'm completely shocked by the transphobia and apparent obsession with trans folk being abusers on Mumsnet.
@MilkTwoSugarsThanks - that's not really the point, its not like avoiding something you find boring.
@JiltedJohnsJulie nobody said that EVERYTHING on here was a hate crime. Why so facetious?

NotMeOhNo · 15/11/2018 19:01

There's a new thread about hate crime in FWR. Link to an article by Jonny Best. Perhaps you could read it and comment there?

Whyisthisacceptable · 15/11/2018 19:01

what baring does it have on day to day life what gender someone else chooses to be?

tellmewhenthespaceshiplands · 15/11/2018 19:01

Every other day someone pops Ali g to declare this yet so far there have been zero actual, specific examples of transphobia. Unless you count not rolling over and accepting the hard won (by biological women) rights and protection of biological women and girls being trashed to allow members of the trans community to do what they like when they like.

SnuggyBuggy · 15/11/2018 19:01

BURN THE WITCHES!

JiltedJohnsJulie · 15/11/2018 19:02

You said though that “the whole active thread list is taken up with tons of tans bashing threads”. The tread I commented on was in active, so you’re either being a bit over dramatic or not strictly telling the truth.

tellmewhenthespaceshiplands · 15/11/2018 19:03

I've no idea what Ali g has to do with it Wink

WitchBottle · 15/11/2018 19:03

I'm not OK with allowing any hard-won women's rights to be eroded because a man has a 'feeling'.

TerfAndSerf · 15/11/2018 19:03

YADBU

CrabbyPatty · 15/11/2018 19:03

How is being against the trans community standing up for our rights? I'm a feminist and all for standing up for women's rights, but see that as something that stands alongside supporting minorities such as the trans community.

AGHHHH · 15/11/2018 19:03

Don't shit stir.

Stating facts or having an opinion on a matter that differs to yours doesn't mean it's transphobic.

SuburbanRhonda · 15/11/2018 19:04

OP, are you aware of the definition of a hate crime?

You might want to get that straight in your head before you start throwing allegations around.
