To think mumsnet is full of hate crime?

The whole active thread list is always taken up by tons of trans bashing threads. How is it acceptable? Anything relating to anyone transgender is bashed. If this was against another minority of people, race, sexuality, religion it would be taken down and reported as hate crime. I don’t understand how the feminism board makes it acceptable?

I would join any campaign for 3rd spaces everywhere, so transwomen can feel safe in their own space

VerbeenaBeeks · 17/11/2018 00:16

One side contains violent men
One side is just bolshy women

I find it interesting that in trans discussions, it gets dismissed as sides such as one's violent men, and the other we're just women being bolshy/norty but if you tried to say that in any other discussion it quite rightly wouldn't wash.

Ereshkigal · 17/11/2018 00:21

Well, firstly, I have friends who can tell you otherwise.

Yeah. Your friends are either lying or oversensitive in the same way many TRAs are.

GC feminists get death and rape threats.

VerbeenaBeeks · 17/11/2018 00:23

Not disputing they do, but it doesn't make it any less hateful what some GC people are doing.

Ereshkigal · 17/11/2018 00:23

But then you think Mumsnet FWR is hate crime, so you're not exactly a reliable source of information.

Ereshkigal · 17/11/2018 00:24

Cross post, but oh so relevant:)

VotingFox · 17/11/2018 00:25

My talking of Sides earlier was a bit tongue in cheek but not entirely, because what I've seen on MN has turned me from rolling my eyes at both sides to siding firmly (though not uncritically) with the transes.

VerbeenaBeeks · 17/11/2018 00:25

Me? Niiiice side stepping. Although wouldn't have expected anything less if so.

Ereshkigal · 17/11/2018 00:26

Point to what GC feminists are doing that you don't agree with by all means

no one cares

Ereshkigal · 17/11/2018 00:27

Good for you. I'm sure you'll be really happy on the right side of history.

VerbeenaBeeks · 17/11/2018 00:28

To Erishgal. Although you can't at "her" as it's abrasive and stoppit.
Which is why I didn't. Although it's why it would be soooo much easier if people were able to say who they were referring to in the first place and avoid any confusion.

Ereshkigal · 17/11/2018 00:29

Aaaand would it be, Verbeena?

VerbeenaBeeks · 17/11/2018 00:29

Amusing how suddenly boinged back onto the end of the thread to try and get the last word in even though been mainly silent throughout. Especially on any main points.

VotingFox · 17/11/2018 00:30

Yeah. Your friends are either lying or oversensitive in the same way many TRAs are.

I'll just leave that there, Floral.

Ereshkigal · 17/11/2018 00:30

Lol another 35 posts before that sweetie.

FloralBunting · 17/11/2018 00:31

Verbeena, are you being wilfully obtuse? The @ function is not the only way to show who you are directing a post to. Bolding is perfectly possible. No confusion necessary.

Ereshkigal · 17/11/2018 00:32

Having observed a number of TRAs who lie and/or are oversensitive I feel fairly comfortable making that statement, idiotfox.

VerbeenaBeeks · 17/11/2018 00:32

sweetie.

Sweetie? Bet if I said that to you you'd have a tantrum.

Ereshkigal · 17/11/2018 00:33

Nope. Knock yourself out!

FloralBunting · 17/11/2018 00:33

VotingFox I'm not sure what you expect me to say - I'm not Ereshkigal's mum.

Ereshkigal · 17/11/2018 00:34

I smell a rat.

VerbeenaBeeks · 17/11/2018 00:34

I do still find it enlightening you've had basically nothing to say apart from "this" or "sweetie" when you're trying to get the last word in at the end of a thread. You're usually prevalent.

Ereshkigal · 17/11/2018 00:35

I'm not Ereshkigal's mum.

You'd be great!

VerbeenaBeeks · 17/11/2018 00:35

You are posting a damn sight more when there's one page to go, why is that? You had nothing to say before.

Ereshkigal · 17/11/2018 00:36

Please do publish something about it Verbeena. Or I fear your observations will be lost to posterity!
