To ask how old you are?

The ‘butter or no butter’ thread has made me curious. My kids reckon loving butter is a generational thing, but I’d be surprised if all the butter lovers on here are over 50.

I’ll start. I’m 67 and I love butter.

39 and I love it!!

42 and I love it, but I hated it until about 10 years ago. I still would never put it in sandwiches though.

44- butter fan (except on sarnies and scones)

I'm 32. I'd probably choose spread over butter but I don't mind it

I am 28. I don't like spreads or margarine but I love real butter!

Not on scones though. All you need on scones is jam and cream.

48 & 13, we love butter.

35. Real butter every time

I love butter. It's my favourite food group. I actually grew up on margarine, butter was for the holiday dinner table, only.

28 and currently staring lovingly at the butter dish on the counter.

I’m 25 and only eat butter on toast, which I don’t have often. I hate butter on sandwiches and the like where it’s not melted

I'm 25. I don't like butter.

65. Good butter, coffee and bread are my three non-negotiables.

35 and I love it.

41. Absolute butter fiend. Daughter is 20. Ditto. I'd rather have a dry sandwich/no sandwich than have some sort of spread on it and I'd definitely have no toast or crumpets at all with spread (unless given to me by a friend or what have you- I'm polite, I'd eat it then, I mean by choice!). I really don't like the artificial taste.

33 and will never go back to spread. It's the devil's food. Butter all the way!

30 and never thought about it until just now! I enjoy butter AND spread (not together).

I love butter lumps on crusty bread. I'm 45.

In 36. Grew up on spread yuk. Now fully on real butter only. M&S do a lovely one with salt crystals in. You can't beat it. Better for you anyway as it's natural, spreads are all chemicals
