To ask how old you are?

The ‘butter or no butter’ thread has made me curious. My kids reckon loving butter is a generational thing, but I’d be surprised if all the butter lovers on here are over 50.

I’ll start. I’m 67 and I love butter.

29 and it's got to be real butter. I won't touch spread. I'd rather have dry toast than horrible fake spread.

48, with a butter tip for hot toast lovers ... if you are making toast and your butter is in the fridge, use a cheese slicer to create perfect little butter sheets that you can neatly lay over your toast as soon as it comes out of the toaster

Early 20's & love it!

I love butter. The flavour is gorgeous. Nothing wrong with butter too, in moderation. It has a lot of good vitamins. It's only when people have tons of it with bread every day and maybe use in cooking that it's bad for you.

I’m 51 and I only use spread. I don’t dislike butter, Jojo st don’t think to buy it tbh!

I am nearly 50 and have never knowingly eaten margarine. Salty butter all the way!

21 and love proper butter with homemade bread and baked camembert!

DD (16) likes it but DS (14) def not as keen.

I'm 40 and always thought I hated butter but I think that's because we had ultra cheap margarine as a kid which I didn't like. I still only like a thin spreading on bread etc unlike DH who slathered it on thick!
