To strip the bed straight after sex?

millimat · 28/10/2018 18:05

What do you do? Was late last night, enjoying some fun in bed, but then the practical side of me took over. I was so conscious of the huge wet patch and then starting thinking about all the washing that needed doing without the thought of the bed sheets the fun had passed for me.
Usually we'd put a towel over the patch but it was sopping, so I stripped the sheet off. Is that really bad? Does it ruin the moment?
What do you do to avoid this situation?

Is it not supposed to be better for avoiding cystitis to go pee after sex ...... in this house a pee after sex is known as a pipe cleaner as in "I'm just going for a quick pipe cleaner" Grin

Rooty2 · 29/10/2018 20:00

You're supposed to pee after sex to avoid uti's, I'm a clench and waddle to loo girl then back for a cuddle in my pj's.

gindrinkingmarypoppins · 29/10/2018 20:06

Running to the loo and ensuring a post DTD wee is really important to your vaginal health. Or so I was reliably informed by a very senior medical professor with a PHD and lifetime dedicated to womens sexual health. Her advice has always stayed with me and now I can't imagine not having a post DTD wee, which avoids the wet patch.... pretty much.

foodiefil · 29/10/2018 20:08

Go to the loo for a necessary wee as per @gindrinkingmarypoppins

Or are you a squirter?

Kewqueue · 29/10/2018 20:28

Whilst in the throes of passion you have to roll over to his side.....and then retire to the nice dry side for a snooze.

Tinkobell · 29/10/2018 20:36

DH Is a gent. He waddles off to the loo with a drippy dangle (need a beaker clearly) and kindly brings me a wad of tissue back to the bed, chilvarous.

SilentBob · 29/10/2018 20:37

@StripySocksAndDocs Suggestive wink?! Is this why my laying down of the protective waterproof mat feels so unsexy?

I CAN'T WINK!

Try as I might- suggestively or not- I can't ruddy wink! (Although when I'm a bottle or so of wine in and someone thinks it's funny to ask, I can always be counted on to try, forgetting as I do that I look like a demented drunk muppet drowsily blinking into space)

Aprilislonggone · 29/10/2018 20:41

I never wee after sex and have got to 47 without ever having a uti.

foodiefil · 29/10/2018 20:46

Some people smoke all their life and never get lung cancer @Aprilislonggone

wishywashy6 · 29/10/2018 20:51

Squirter here too, wet patch is usually made by me more than him. Towel over it or sleep in it/ round it and worry about it the next day 🤷🏼‍♀️

DC2018 · 29/10/2018 20:56

Just nip to the toilet, have a pee and clean yourself afterwards. Stops the wet patch and also prevents UTIs

LondonLassInTheCountry · 29/10/2018 21:02

Yes huge wet patch here...
We have a clean towel in the bedroom ready... (Changed after each time)
I fold it but sometimes still goes thru...
I then stick another clean towel on it if needed

BigBumandMumTum · 29/10/2018 21:02

Just make sure the wet patch is on his side not yours and roll over and sleep

Studentnurse1981 · 29/10/2018 21:06

I don't believe anyone who says they have never had a wet patch. They must not be finishing. Sometimes the wet patch happens ,big deal ! I just rush to the loo then grab a towel to lie over wet patch and sort laundry in morning. Jobs a good un

Gncq · 29/10/2018 21:11

You don't lay the towel down before DTD.

You DTD then before you relax for a lovely cuddly sleep, grab the towel and lay it under your bum to protect your sheets.

I could never rush to the loo after a gorgeous shag. I do keep a sex towel in the bedroom.

Reaa · 29/10/2018 21:14

Nodding in agreement with whoever said grab what ever is on the floor.

theworldistoosmall · 29/10/2018 21:17

Erm no. Now it's condom off and in a bag. Snuggle and stuff and sleep.
Even when I was in a relationship, it was snuggle and stuff and sleep. Bit of a mood killer to both get out of bed and start remaking the bed. Would wonder wtf was wrong with the person tbph.

wishywashy6 · 29/10/2018 21:19

@DC2018 I don't understand how that stops the wet patch? 🤔

Shriekingbanshee · 29/10/2018 21:23

Various..certainly also a bum wadger (and for period/same as pp)
Puppy training pads! What a great idea!
Have been guilty of the grabbing the discarded clothes trick, normally knickers and sox!
Never considered cum catching an option
Also guilty of the on top lady cough and splurge
Also much condom use, but my isshoos always with my squirt, and if prepared (that's mostly when alone Halloween Wink ) use towel folded in half (so double)
Otherwise unprepared will sleep with clothing between legs
I hate the wet sheet and consequent blanket and matress involvement.
....but...drum roll...have never, ever got up to change the sheets!
It's a case of grab what's nearest, ....aaand..sleeeeep!
Tissues/loo roll only useful for his gloop, but also been a loo sprinter.
Never felt the need to pee after, never tried to make myself, and never had uti, is there a pattern developing?

theworldistoosmall · 29/10/2018 21:25

I dont understand how going for a piss afterwards can stop the wet patch.
The wet patch comprises of both your juices. And if in missionary at the end unless he's really in as he cums, fluids will go onto the bed.
And a bit of tissue on my fanny has never done a thing. I will sleep, wake up a bit later go for a piss. Obviously, wipe. Go back to bed and when I wake if we haven't used a condom sometimes juices will still drip.

Shriekingbanshee · 29/10/2018 21:25

wishy does stop squirty wet patch only [small] gloop wet patch

Shriekingbanshee · 29/10/2018 21:26

*doesn't

Shriekingbanshee · 29/10/2018 21:27

Is it all this talk of dirty sheets and wet patches that means I am getting ads for 'mattresses'???!!!
it could be worse

FuckIHadToChangeMyNameForThis · 29/10/2018 21:31

Just cup your hand around your vagina immediately after and keep a roll of paper towels on your bedside cabinet.

Also just because someone has almost gotten to 50 without getting a UTI doesn't mean you represent all women's experiences ffs. Hmm

Shriekingbanshee · 29/10/2018 21:38

Done the vag cupping too! You just reminded me.
