To strip the bed straight after sex?

What do you do? Was late last night, enjoying some fun in bed, but then the practical side of me took over. I was so conscious of the huge wet patch and then starting thinking about all the washing that needed doing without the thought of the bed sheets the fun had passed for me.
Usually we'd put a towel over the patch but it was sopping, so I stripped the sheet off. Is that really bad? Does it ruin the moment?
What do you do to avoid this situation?

I perfectly understand how you feel. In 'my day 'the grown ups' didn't tell you how things were managed.

I now know one should have a towel to put underneath, avoiding wet patch on bed. Towel goes in laundry. Plus you wash afterwards, prevents unnecessary drips - doesn't have to be done straight away, that's rather clinical. Towel is good.

so just get dp to reach over whilst still plugged in

Not this again

Generally there might be a bit of a wet patch from me, we tend to ignore that (clearly also a lazy slag like a PP Grin), and after a few minutes of lazy post-coital chat/doze, I do the run to the toilet to dispose of the rest, then back to bed. Only time I shower straight after is if we're going somewhere straight away, which for some reason is what gets OH going - I think it's knowing we should be getting ready instead haha

@labazs I'm like you. A squirter. Never met a man who didn't love it mind you. But When I know sex is on the cards I always make sure my mattress has several layers on to protect it.
It goes Mattress, mattress protector, sheet, waterproof sheet, sheet.
Afterwards I have to strip off the top sheet and waterproof sheet before going to bed or it is like sleeping in a paddling pool.

Crazycatperson · 29/10/2018 17:51

I always engineer it so the wet patch is his side 😁

pouraglasshalffull · 29/10/2018 17:57

I literally run to the toilet straight after. Not particularly romantic but 9/10 times there is no wet patch. I hate the feeling of it sitting "there"

Cambalamb · 29/10/2018 18:04

Sopping??? Do you not keep a bedtime loo roll in the vicinity? Then you do the bathroom shuffle no?

XXcstatic · 29/10/2018 18:12

Don't tell me you actually continued having sex on CRUSTY 18 MONTH OLD BEDSHEETS?

That's nothing. I was at uni with a lad who was very successful with the ladeez, despite never having changed his bedsheets.

It was a 6 year course Grin

MissWilmottsGhost · 29/10/2018 18:14

I always manage to shuffle onto DH's side to make the wet patch, then back to my nice dry side to lie comfortably and go mmmmmm until I fall asleep Smile

It's not mean, DH usually gets up after so he doesn't get the wet patch either.

Cambalamb · 29/10/2018 18:18

DH usually gets up after so he doesn't get the wet patch either.
Confused.

Whodrunkallthegin · 29/10/2018 18:28

Likewise - a soggy funtime to be had. His contribution is a drop in the ocean!

OrangeSunsets · 29/10/2018 18:39

XXstatic surely his bed absolutely reeked? Envy
After 15 years together we have perfected the ninja shuffle, middle of the large bed to avoid any wet patch on our sides and various other techniques.
I always pee after. There is no way I could sleep without!

SpiritedLondon · 29/10/2018 19:03

Are there really people who don’t know about squirting?

Sallycinammonbangsthedruminthe · 29/10/2018 19:13

Ladies you are all utterly magnificent..You haven't half made me giggle! I have so many images of knock knee'd Ninjas with wet wipes running around all over the place in my brain!!! And as for the electric blanket lady well I am lost for words!!! Thank you all I am chuckling away here!

Leapfrog44 · 29/10/2018 19:21

@bigchris you're absolutely not right there! An orgasm when I'm tired and sleepy can give me insomnia rather than send me off to sleep. If not full blown insomnia, then it can keep me 'buzzing' for quite a while afterwards. Freaking annoying.

Leapfrog44 · 29/10/2018 19:25

I'm with you op. If you didn't put a towel on during the heat of the moment then why on earth not strip the bed and snuggle each other in clean sheets? Wet patches can soak into the mattress and get really minging.

And you should pee after sex too to help prevent a UTI. I used to get sex-induced infections all the time but since I started peeing straight afterwards I've never had on

PhilomenaDeathsHeadHawkMoth · 29/10/2018 19:28

YABU. No wet patch because I use tissues.

ToftyAC · 29/10/2018 19:32

Wow.... if you’ve enough energy after sex to strip the bed and that, you’re doing sex all wrong 😂

Silvercatowner · 29/10/2018 19:33

Don't tell me you actually continued having sex on CRUSTY 18 MONTH OLD BEDSHEETS?

Yep. And no-one died. (Honestly, the youth of today!!!)

LellyMcKelly · 29/10/2018 19:44

I don’t know how any of you are awake enough after sex to run to the loo or strip the bedsheets. I can just about roll over before crashing out if I’m lucky.

Enthymeme · 29/10/2018 19:46

What if you go for it again. Do you change the bed twice?

Notacluewhatthisis · 29/10/2018 19:49

What if you go for it again. Do you change the bed twice?

Can you imagine? All the washing and drying? Don't think I have enough storage space for all the extra bedding

xx44 · 29/10/2018 19:52

Well clearly one strips the bed but only after a couple of hours of snoozing before getting rid of the DNA traces

Chelseajunior · 29/10/2018 19:53

Use whatever clothes are on the floor to wipe up lol then cuddle/sleep

category12 · 29/10/2018 19:55

Perhaps if you intend to have sex more than once, you layer up the sheets, so you can keep removing them.
