To strip the bed straight after sex?

What do you do? Was late last night, enjoying some fun in bed, but then the practical side of me took over. I was so conscious of the huge wet patch and then starting thinking about all the washing that needed doing without the thought of the bed sheets the fun had passed for me.
Usually we'd put a towel over the patch but it was sopping, so I stripped the sheet off. Is that really bad? Does it ruin the moment?
What do you do to avoid this situation?

@wishywashy6 @Shriekingbanshee
Thanks for explaining. I am impressed by you both 🙌🏽 DH would swop me for either of you. He says "the wetter the better". 🤣

morningconstitutional2017 · 30/10/2018 12:05

Always used to keep a towel on the bed. To jump up and change the sheet would certainly ruin any post-coital cuddles but then lying in a puddle is unpleasant too. They don't tell you about this, do they?

Housingcraze · 30/10/2018 12:09

I strip the bed in the morning.

wishywashy6 · 30/10/2018 12:54

@sabrinathethirtysomethingwitch haha! It's only something I discovered I could achieve after I got rid of my husband funnily enough 🤔😂

Personally have had a dry bed for several years, sure my hymen has grown back 🙄
But I do remember a towel being used and a run to loo (in the distant past).

Everyoneiswingingit · 30/10/2018 16:53

I don't understand how that stops the wet patch?
The wet patch would be his jiz coming back out of me(vasectomy here) so if I grab the loo roll in my bedside cabinet I can stuff some there while we are post coital and before I shuffle to the loo. No wet patch.

Everyoneiswingingit · 30/10/2018 16:58

I like to try to finish on top and linger for a while after. Then when I dismount{grin] I give his gift back to him. He always gives me a wry loving look!

Cambalamb · 30/10/2018 16:59

I strip the bed in the morning.
Every morning?

Shriekingbanshee · 30/10/2018 17:54

This is fascinating, apparently the fe (female ejaculate) is produced by the female 'prostate' glands, plural, and only happens in tens of cases to quote the link below. Squirting and fe are two types of female sexual physiology, but there is also co (coital incontinence - from pressure on bladder through penetrative sex only - like stress incontinence). There is evidence that women's bladders 'are filled' super quick during arousals, the mechanism and purpose of which is being studied, unless someone can update further?www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/m/pubmed/23634659/

Cambalamb · 30/10/2018 17:55

it must be wee, a vagina isn't small enough to squirt anything!

Shriekingbanshee · 30/10/2018 17:56

*CI not co
www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/m/pubmed/23634659/
...and the link again as the other doesn't look active

Shriekingbanshee · 30/10/2018 17:59

Yeah small ejaculate, like male, from the glands, the squirt doesn't have the same chemistry, as it contains some of the fe too. So it is different liquid. Not yellow, ime, doesn't smell, or taste like wee -apparently--

Shriekingbanshee · 30/10/2018 17:59

apparently

BEAUTYM · 30/10/2018 20:59

So we always put a hand towel down, it’s mostly for me to start then incase I can’t “ninja roll” fast enough to catch his, it never kills the moment or intimacy having a towel, because we both find it gross to have a massive wet patch or stickyness on our sheets. Our towel get washed EVERY time (we have 5 or so in rotation)but I think it’s gross if you didn’t kinda like chicks wearing undies more than once 🤢

pollymere · 30/10/2018 21:46

I'm probably never going to suffer from vaginal dryness...our wet patch is usually created before the actual sex part 😄 . It's usually in the middle so we just go straight to sleep around it. Any other wet patches are tiny by comparison. It definitely isn't wee, just natural lubrication. I didn't know it was unusual tbh.

TittyBoneGhoul · 30/10/2018 22:23

So we always put a hand towel down

Ishtar not slightly restrictive?!

TittyBoneGhoul · 30/10/2018 22:23

Is that*

Shriekingbanshee · 30/10/2018 22:29

Is the thread about to take a change in direction?!
What could you mean titty (appropriate name for topic of thread)

annoyed1212 · 30/10/2018 23:09

I couldn't sleep in a wet patch loo roll is always on the bedside table or inside the drawer so within reach when needed.

DH puts down a blanket (an old duvet also kept closeby), but its usually dry thanks to the tissue. Keeps me from changing the bedding so often.

Throwing down a towel/blanket takes two seconds how can that be a passion killer?? I think I have OCD though. I'm glad DH is understanding of my need for cleanliness and doesn't put him off. If he wasn't bothered about keeping our bed clean it would be difficult for me.

I have a DF who DTD in the spare room bed so doesn't have to worry about wet patches!

HeavyLoad · 30/10/2018 23:31

My mum always told me to wee before and after to avoid a urine infection. DH is borderline ocd so likes to wash after anyway and I don't like the thought of DCs jumping on the bed/hiding under covers the next day Confused. Def a mood killer jumping strsight up after though.

But pre-kids a wet patch wouldn't bother me.

TittyBoneGhoul · 30/10/2018 23:43

What could you mean titty

There would be so many questions! Who’s duty is it to keep said towel in place?
Is someone constantly glancing down/round/between their legs to check it’s not making its escape? (the towel that is)
What if your arse is bigger than the hand towel?
I hope it’s a good quality towel coz towel burn on your arse can’t be pleasant?
What did the towel ever do to you?

Shriekingbanshee · 31/10/2018 03:13

Ah! I see, all quite Innocent!

greeenkitee · 31/10/2018 09:45

@ferrir (hope I've got the name right) I was always told when a woman is about to squirt it will feel like she needs the toilet, and so many woman will stop themselves as they think they will pee but in actual fact they do need to let go and they will squirt.
9/10 I get the feeling of needing to pee and definitely need to pee afterwards but I wait as I was told as well that peeing straight after will increase utis

Shriekingbanshee · 31/10/2018 17:09

Btw, this squirting happens even when bladder emptied immediately pre-squirt.
There's is science to suggest bladder fills superquick, so takes liquid from the body, deliberately to perform this function.

I can't help but wonder why something like this would still be such a mystery if men did it. Everyone learnt about male ejaculation, I never heard FE mentioned in any of our learning its just not important

Cambalamb · 31/10/2018 20:37

Don't see how seeing straight after would cause UTI. The reason is to clear any bacteria that may have entered the urethra during sex.
