To strip the bed straight after sex?

What do you do? Was late last night, enjoying some fun in bed, but then the practical side of me took over. I was so conscious of the huge wet patch and then starting thinking about all the washing that needed doing without the thought of the bed sheets the fun had passed for me.
Usually we'd put a towel over the patch but it was sopping, so I stripped the sheet off. Is that really bad? Does it ruin the moment?
What do you do to avoid this situation?

@Shriekingbanshee thought so! Was going to say the wet patch is well developed before he's finished!

usernamefromhell · 29/10/2018 21:45

Anyone who is sterile enough to strip a bed after sex doesn't deserve sex in the first place.

Grin at the bed pads! Worst was with an ex who lived with his parents. Bed was soaked. Had to say I needed to borrow a hairdryer & blow dried the bed Halloween Blush.

itbemay · 29/10/2018 21:54

I buy sex tissues! Box tissues by the bed used for nothing much else other than sex clean up!

ThatGirl82 · 29/10/2018 21:57

We don’t tend to have sex at night, it’s usually an afternoon affair and the wet patch is dry by bedtime. I guess it seems slightly gross but it’s just us and the bedsheets get changed regularly anyway.

sabrinathethirtysomethingwitch · 29/10/2018 21:59

Do all those who have a wet patch finish in missionary position? This might explain why I don't 🤔

Shriekingbanshee · 29/10/2018 22:00

...and the spooning, until fart tickles testicles hilarity, yes! Many a snigger and a shove over to my side of the bed

HiItsKarenxoxo · 29/10/2018 22:00

As a homosexual woman with 4 children (5 soon) i don't seem to get this problem, we only keep the towels in the bathroom ;)

Catsinthecupboard · 29/10/2018 22:01

The mind boggles at this TMI DYI FYI thread.

user1472151176 · 29/10/2018 22:13

We call it the cup and run Grin cup with your hands and run to the toilet

Shriekingbanshee · 29/10/2018 22:21

A him wet patch Sabrina? Theres no intercepting the her wet patch (that I've found, other than double towel under)

SpoonBlender · 29/10/2018 22:56

crimsonlake: "Shocked by the putting a towel down thing, sounds so clinical."

Putting down a towel only happens when your username is entirely appropriate :D Although I suppose covering everything in blood could be imagined as clinical...

Mumoffourneedstea · 29/10/2018 23:02

Mum of four under 8. Haven't had sex in our bed For over 8 years🤣 (constant child in side car cot) no help here.

Sassielassie · 29/10/2018 23:35

Years ago the old dear next door gave me a waterproof double mattress protector as a wedding gift. Thought it was weirdest bloody gift at the time. But clearly the old girl must have been a bit of a goer in her day n was thinking of the most practical thing she could give a newly married couple. Mortified Hmm

Liketoshop · 30/10/2018 00:04

Maybe the large wet patch is more pre ejaculate and less cum.....just do it on his side ...

dysongirl · 30/10/2018 00:58

Isnt that what his boxers shorts are for??
Cleaning the wet patch lolWink

LondonLassInTheCountry · 30/10/2018 01:33

Ok... Well people are confusing the "wet patch"

His sperm. Her juices... Or her Squirt.....
HUGE difference

sabrinathethirtysomethingwitch · 30/10/2018 06:58

@Shriekingbanshee yes a "her" wet patch. I'm wondering is a missionary position finisher the reason for your wet patch. As opposed to my doggy finisher 😂

wishywashy6 · 30/10/2018 07:33

@sabrinathethirtysomethingwitch - doesn't matter what position 🤷🏼‍♀️ doggy/ reverse/ on top/ underneath makes no difference, when I go, there's nothing to stop the flood 😂
And it's usually happened a few times well before he's finished

DrivingJustDriving · 30/10/2018 08:13

This really is a thread divided, isn't it?

The majority are talking about a wet patch more-or-less entirely comprised of what the partner produces, and responders who have that experience either don't care or have techniques they use.

But there's a group of responders who are talking about what they produce, and it's clearly an amount which massively exceeds what any of the chaps... deposit.
And I think the question about changing the sheets applies to them more than the rest of us.

ferrier · 30/10/2018 08:35

I would just like to correct a misapprehension upthread... squirting does absolutely not preclude the need to go for a wee after as it hasn't come from the bladder Hmm

NewPapaGuinea · 30/10/2018 08:42

The worst thing in the world is going to bed and discovering it’s been stripped. To wilfully choose to do that is shocking!

SherbrookeFosterer · 30/10/2018 10:19

Re: RhinestoneCowgirl and her "jizz pants".

I am still laughing at that, and it's Tuesday.

BillywigSting · 30/10/2018 10:27

Sometimes if we've had a particularly fun night we'll both look at the bottom sheet and go yeah we should change that. There isn't an adult sized dry patch*

Most of the time though there either is no wet patch, it's in a spot neither of us have to lie in or we can put a towel over it

*often involves a fair bit of lube so not just sex juices.

Shriekingbanshee · 30/10/2018 11:20

Ah! No, could be many positions. Sabrina and mostly much earlier on than him. What wishy said.

I am certainly guilty of peaking too soon!
