Shocker. Said no one.

Andtheresaw · 25/10/2018 15:13

Not a great surprise though really.
I note also that in spite of the vote in 2016 to rescind his knighthood he's still Sir Philip Green, as the government don't have to do what a parliamentary vote says.

AngeloMysterioso · 25/10/2018 15:13

Why am I not surprised?

And why the hell does this bastard still have a knighthood??

CoolCarrie · 25/10/2018 15:13

This thread won’t last long, but I am not surprised, he is a total shit, the way he treated BHS and the staff was disgusting, he should be in bloody jail, Not on a fucking yacht !

Blanchedupetitpois · 25/10/2018 15:14

Well done Lord Hain! Anything we can do to stop rich, powerful and abusive men film flexing their financial muscles to get away with sickening behaviour is a good thing. If every time an injunction is secured it is immediately undermined by an MP, these bullying bastards will soon stop paying to secure them.

Im in Scotland so I believe I can say it as much as I want.

Poor Alan sugar.

shouldidoitspoilt · 25/10/2018 15:16

I'm really shocked as I honestly just thought he was a selfish money laundering man who's taken advantage for years.
It was not who I suspected. He is such a sleazy slime ball.
Can't believe he has been brazen enough to cavort around in shorts and t shirts all summer knowing how many peoples lives he has affected and not only that but that he tried to use his money to get the media to shut up.
He is still a predator regardless of his wealth (however he acquired it) and it's just a ridiculous system. If you're poor and can't afford to shut people up then the whole country and their best friend will know what you did. If you're rich you're beyond that?

I feel so cross.
I don't usually engage in conversations like this. I feel a bit out of my depth but this is vile.

Why would this be taken down its discussing public knowledge.

shouldidoitspoilt · 25/10/2018 15:18

I agree about Alan Sugar as well it's awful what he was accused of

SummerGems · 25/10/2018 15:19

It’s been reported in the media so there’s no reason for this thread to go.

DeloresJaneUmbridge · 25/10/2018 15:21

It’s now public knowledge so there is no law being broken as far as I know.

TurquoiseDress · 25/10/2018 15:24

Not surprised

What an utter cock

DioneTheDiabolist · 25/10/2018 15:26

From the link

Sir Philip Green has been named in Parliament as the businessman at the centre of Britain’s #MeToo scandal.

Lord Peter Hain, the former leader of the House of Commons, said that he felt a “duty” to reveal the name under parliamentary privilege.

He told a hushed House of Lords on Thursday afternoon: “My Lords, having been contacted by someone intimately involved in the case of a powerful businessman using non-disclosure agreements and substantial payments to conceal the truth about serious and repeated sexual harassment, racist abuse and bullying, which is compulsively continuing, I feel it’s my duty under parliamentary privilege to name Philip Green as the individual in question given that the media have been subject to an injunction preventing publication of the full details of this story which is clearly in the public interest.”

Namechangeforthiscancershit · 25/10/2018 15:27

Not even 1% surprised

SirVixofVixHall · 25/10/2018 15:28

No surprise there, eh.

Annandale · 25/10/2018 15:29

Gosh he was the first name i thought of. I must be, like, psychic.

SuperSuperSuper · 25/10/2018 15:31

At least it will stop the speculation on Twitter, where the reputations of Branson, Sugar, Dyson, Bannatyne and others were brought into question.

Sleazy little man.

CuriousaboutSamphire · 25/10/2018 15:31

Ye gods! I'm not surprised but was a bit Shock that it was Alan Sugar that was named and shamed for it without basis, and Duncan Bannatyne too!

PattiStanger · 25/10/2018 15:33

We can discuss what's said in parliament, no reason to take the thread down.

I'm also not surprised, he's clearly a sexism of the highest order who is far too used to getting his own way

UrsulaPandress · 25/10/2018 15:34

Sleaze Ball

And appalling that others have had to stand up to defend themselves because of his behaviour.
