Disgraceful .

OP posts:

Shegotbettedaviseyes- they haven’t encouraged him to leave his old employees pensions alone. That’s enough to call them sociopathic thugs as well. You either stand up to this behaviour or you’re part of it. They stayed by his side so that tells me enough of their values.

ladypenelopeepee · 25/10/2018 16:11

Funnily enough, he is friends with that twat Phillip Green.

This is about a MAN. A MAN who dismantled pensions, abused women, has made racist statements and is buying silence, and you've popped on to criticise the women in his life? ffs.

Avegemitesandwich · 25/10/2018 16:17

He was literally the first name I thought of.

I knew it wouldn't be Alan Sugar. Apparently he is a nice bloke (I have heard this from a friend of a friend of a relative who knows him!)

SummerGems · 25/10/2018 16:19

Strange how his name only came out after the reputation of other well known business men were being dragged through the gutter. All good to keep it quiet when it was just the wimmins being affected` actually I think that it shows the potential damage this kind of thing can do to others.

After all, they’re not the ones having taken out super-injunctions, he is. Therefore, regardless of what people might have thought of them as people they still don’t deserve to be named when they weren’t involved.

It shows that these kinds of things create their own level of collateral damage in the age of social media.

TitOfTheIceberg · 25/10/2018 16:21

Are you passing on congratulations for winning the prize of 'getting away with it'?

No, she's congratulating Lord Hain for having the balls to name the sleazebag Green when others have been too cowardly.

SassitudeandSparkle · 25/10/2018 16:24

I didn't think it was Alan Sugar, but I didn't think it was Philip Green either tbh - I had someone else in mind!

He's certainly got the funds to attempt to hide it, though (Green).

deydododatdodontdeydo · 25/10/2018 16:24

That's not the reason Peter Hain gave at all - the news came out yesterday and he was revealed today so all "kept quiet" for almost 24hrs.

Luffly1 · 25/10/2018 16:26

Wikipedia says that Lord Hain’s parents were anti-apartheid activists which is interesting.

He’s gone up in my estimation I must say. These superinjunctions are good for one person only.

DisrespectfulAdultFemale · 25/10/2018 16:31

Philip Green, eh? Who'da thunk it? Sleazy deceitful dirtbag that he is.

DarkDarkNight · 25/10/2018 16:32

Nothing would surprise me, it’s who I thought of first. Creep.

Hoppinggreen · 25/10/2018 16:33

Well done Lord Peter Hain

IAmNotLikeThem · 25/10/2018 16:34

MN does not have clean hands here.

grumiosmum · 25/10/2018 16:34

When i saw the thread speculating about this yesterday, my first thought was it was likely to be Phillip Green. But no, others were posting that they 'knew' it must be one of two other prominent businessmen. I didn't post my guess yesterday, why do other people do this when they have no more idea than the rest of us? Very damaging to the reputations of the others involved.

Fatted · 25/10/2018 16:35

What does concern me is that 2 of the victims had supported the gagging order because they knew that by revealing his details then they would also be identified when they didn't want to be.

I agree that there is an element of this is in the public interest. But I think it's too easy to forget that it's also victims who are protected with these types of orders as well.

LizzieBennettDarcy · 25/10/2018 16:36

He's absolute pond scum. The eternal pap photos on the DM of his daughter and the thug she "bought" on constant holiday make me feel sick. People were left with nothing by his greed and it's seemingly perfectly lawful.

It's an utter fucking disgrace that he's not been stripped of his assets. I used to get loads of clothes from Dotty P's and Wallis but I'm not putting 1p in that grubby man's pocket.

areyoubeingserviced · 25/10/2018 16:37

Not surprised at all
The racism is a shock considering his ethnicity and the fact that he has a mixed race grandson
He is an utter disgrace

BooEekCackle · 25/10/2018 16:37

I don't understand why he gagged the media. His reputation was shit anyway. No one is surprised.

Does he still have a Knighthood?

KingBee · 25/10/2018 16:40

Well done Lord Peter Hain!

BooEekCackle · 25/10/2018 16:41

2 of the victims had supported the gagging order

I don't think it is as simple as that. I don't think women are offered £££ and then go "great, OK then". I remember reading somewhere that NDA are often the end result of intimidation and threats about expensive lawyers making women's lives difficult and the less stressful option is to take the blood money and keep quiet. I doubt very much that many women will lavish in what they have been paid off to keep quiet.

TheClitterati · 25/10/2018 16:42

Not surprised at all.

Well done Lord Hain for naming him as plain old "Philip Green" - love that extra dig.
