The description of her childhood in her recent memoir sounds horrible and extremely damaging. As described, her self indulgent showbiz parents may have paved the way for her in her career but seem to have failed on every other level. Very depressing, I hope she gets a good therapist.

No worse than a lot of people, but all the publicity is earning a lot of money, which is different from most people. So no, I don't feel sorry for her and her attention seeking.

I've always been a bit 'grr' about her. No idea why, I'm sure she's perfectly nice in her way, she just leaves me cold.

Millions of people have dysfunctional childhoods and parents who lack certain qualities. Millions of people go through life feeling as though they were robbed of something; a promotion, a partner, a life they thought they were due. It's life. It's growing up, putting those things to bed and realising you don't have to be a victim and feel bitter. I'm not keen on her navel-gazing.

I felt a bit sorry for her mainly because wolf Alice are boring as hell.

Apparently they basically told her that she'd won it before hand. I can see why she was disappointed. I don't like her music personally but I am old.

YANBU, she wasn’t parented well as a child and has had to grow up in the limelight with little appropriate guidance. People like to stick the boot in, but few would think it ok to raise their own kids the way she was raised.

I do after listening to her in womens hour, what she went through with her first child was horrendous. Nobody should have to experience that, I can see how it could completely change you.

This is what I thought too. Then I heard Wolf Alice. Even DH, who usually hates her stuff, turned to me and said ‘blimey, she’s right, she was robbed’.

I’ve thought Keith Allen might have been a twat but I have no idea about her Mum, is she estranged from her too?

I like Lily, what happened with her baby George was awful and her childhood perhaps wasn't ideal.

I find her grating like one of those bluebottle types that buzz around your head with an ill informed soundbite and think they are an expert. Her catalogue of work does not the weekly publicity.

Her childhood does sound chaotic, and she is clearly damaged by it but she is a mother now and putting this all 'out' there is not putting her children first. Instead of selling her soul to a publisher she would have been better off telling all this to a highly trained counsellor or psychiatrist.

I also think the tweet was a joke.
