AIBU to get pissed off with all the Autumn and Winter "cosy" people

Now that the evenings are getting darker I feel sad that summer is ending .. and pissed off with the "cosy" people !! I hate winter .. what is "cosy" about bumbling about in the dark and scraping ice off your car, getting fat with stodgy food , seeing all the shit sentimental Christmas TV adverts and being pale , corpse like and with drizzled on hair !!! .. this is light hearted but I just don't get it ! .... I've stayed away from the " We hate summer" threads as instructed as they were not for me ... so now it's my turn !!

Nah. Autumn's brilliant.

Autumn is the best time of year.

The smells. The colours. The feel of it. Perfect.

I get excited about lighting the fire I admit.

I love it. Leaves falling off trees, crisp fresh mornings, gloves and scarves, Halloween, bonfire night and the build up to Christmas. It's a magical time of year to me

YABU, we've had to put up with all the summer types telling us how much we should love being sweaty and uncomfortable.

Can't wait to wear my favourite jumper and woolly socks.

You’ve had endless, unrelenting months of fucking horrific sunshine and heat that was inescapable. Fuck off whining that the weather will return to normal.

The only bit I hate about autumn is that Christmas apparently now starts in September it actually makes me really angry.

YABU. By all means be pissed of with the fabulous autumnal weather and start a thread about it. However, being pissed off at all us autumn lovers is asking for a fight. And as a vast number of summer lovers plagued our heat hating threads to tell us how wrong we were, I see no reason why we should stay off the cold hating threads. Fair's fair.

I love autumn but people are being ridiculous, it’s still mid-August FFS!

Bringing your horse in from the summer fields and knowing he is tucked up and safe in his stable (if he'd actually been out for the bloody summer), hiding your fat arse under a big sweatshirt, eating a tin of butter beans without feeling guilty. What's not to like?

I love the start of all the Seasons ....its the change which is magical. Autumn however I really love and dare I say I also love the dark nights

I’m obviously afraid I’m one of those autumn/winter folk. This summer in particular has been miserable. I can’t wait to wear my fleecy lined socks again. It’s much easier to get warm then it is to cool down. and I look better in the dark

My house is definitely more a cosy house than a summer house. It has been hideous all summer but it looks so lovely with candles on and wee lights on all over the house. I love putting the fire on and I immediately feel more relaxed.

I am more an autumn winter person as well. I suit the colours and fabrics more. Summer clothes look absolutely ridiculous on me. I suit jumpers and jeans and scarves.

Today it was quite chilly so while I was folding the washing out the drier I put a pair of fluffy socks on straight out of it. Fluffy, warm bliss.

I'm like you OP, I could quite happily sit in t-shirt and shorts all year no bother. I loved the temperature and high humidity today. I hate autumn and winter and only start coming back to myself in March. I like January as all the crap from autumn and Christmas is over and I can look forward to brighter evenings and warmer days.

It's like autumn where I live just now, pissing of rain, it's cold to the point I had my winter jacket on the other day! I love autumn and winter though, when it's crisp and cold.

Can't stand summer, hate being hot and sweaty, love the cold and cosy nights. Bring on autumn.
