If she goes out, it's every 15 minutes he's tracking her. I'm not too sure how to address this, thanks.

How old is she?

Yupindeedy · 12/08/2018 21:37

How old is she?

staraw · 12/08/2018 21:39

She’s an adult. She can do what he wants and he must respect that. Is there anything your daughter can do on her phone to stop him tracking her?

ByeGermsByeWorries · 12/08/2018 21:42

She can stop sharing her location with him from her phone.

ZanyMobster · 12/08/2018 21:42

OMG I thought you were going to say 12 or 13, in which case I think would be fine. 18, no way

DitheringBlidiot · 12/08/2018 21:42

What’s his concern? If anyone did this to me I’d then that function off as quick as I could.

DitheringBlidiot · 12/08/2018 21:43

I’d turn I mean

Gardenpicnic · 12/08/2018 21:43

Tell him to watch Safe on Netflix Wink

9amTrain · 12/08/2018 21:44

18? So an adult? Put a stop to that asap! Ridiculous man.

Angharad07 · 12/08/2018 21:44

That’s a bit weird

CheeseAndVinegar · 12/08/2018 21:45

Is she aware?
If not I'd let her know as she will be able to turn it off from her end

staraw · 12/08/2018 21:45

There was a discussion about her removing him, but there was a big hoo ha about how he will take back the car we bought her on her birthday. I've obviously said absolutely not but it's a situation that's got a bit out of hand really.

How weird and horribly controlling. Please tell her ASAP.

JustHereForThePooStories · 12/08/2018 21:46

Weird, and controlling.

Does he track you, OP?

LadyLoveYourWhat · 12/08/2018 21:46

Let her know.

Make sure she has her own Apple account on the phone and no-one else's. She can remove him from the people that can follow her

LadyLoveYourWhat · 12/08/2018 21:47

Cross posted. Is the car in her name?

Rainatnight · 12/08/2018 21:47

Ew, weird.

What reason has he given?

upsideup · 12/08/2018 21:47

Does he have reason to think she needs checking on?
Does she know he is tracking her?

C0untDucku1a · 12/08/2018 21:48

This is really weird op.

Has he reason to track her?

Cat2lady · 12/08/2018 21:48

Weird behaviour!

SunflowerJo08 · 12/08/2018 21:49

Is this a recent thing, eg the same time as the car? Maybe he is just very anxious about her safety and so on. Does she get a notification on her phone when he is looking?

I think I'd be inclined to not mention it for a while and see if he stops doing it.

Domino20 · 12/08/2018 21:52

Is he obsessive about her in other ways? Frankly it's weird and creepy. Have you told him that?

staraw · 12/08/2018 21:52

He does it a lot more since she passed her driving test. She did turn it off once and was questioned for the week by him about what she was hiding etc etc I do tell him but he just won't listen

He needs to stop this. Sounds like you know this but are asking more about how you move forward? I think you need to be clear with him that your daughter is an adult and this is a violation of her privacy. Then openly support your daughter to switch off this function. Does he have reason to be overly concerned? Can you work out what the real issue is as this seems a symptom of something else going on.
